Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe — Restaurant in Lawrence

Online Orders Beware! I made an online order on the Picklemans website for the Clinton Prkwy location in Lawrence Ks late yesterday evening. I received the Order Confirmation email and the Order Assigned and on the way email. These emails have information such as my: Order, Order Number, Transaction ID, Store Number, and Credit Charge Amount. However, I did not receive my order. So I called and spoke to Caden I explained the situation to him, and He told me that at the time the order came through, they were closed. He said he didn't have access to the previous day's transactions, I asked to speak to a manager He told me that he was the manager. So when I suggested bringing my emailed information from the restaurant and bank transactions so that I may either receive my order or a refund, he placed me on hold. In a split second another person got on the phone I believe he said his name was Hayden. He talked fast and, immediately said he was the active manager and didn't have access to previous transactions but he'll have the GM call me. Without even asking me what was going on. I asked why the other gentleman(Caden) said that "HE" was the Manager. Hayden responded that " Oh no, he's a Delivery Driver, I'm not sure why he would say that. I apologize". He then insisted that the GM would call me in the Morning. He repeated my phone number off of their Caller ID. Did NOT ask me what my name was, didn't ask for the Transaction ID number, or any other information pertaining to this issue. Please beware while making online orders with this location. This was an extremely simple situation to solve. Every other business whether big or small, whether new or old has access to transactions " ALL OF THEM" for situations such as these. Proper solution: Take a look at the receipts and either Refund or Fulfill the order, Simple. Instead, the Young men chose to Lie, be deceitful and make a very easy situation complex. Picklemans does have amazing food, yes, they are a good place to eat. If you're in the Mid West (Kansas/ Missouri area) When I lived in KC I would go to the Picklemans off of 75th and Wornall- Never had an issue! Always helpful, a real jazzy spot, it's a real Cafe. I figured I would have the same experience here in Lawrence. But all I received was dishonesty, disappointment, and a loss of 30 bucks. It's the principle of the matter. Beware of their...

With all due respect, I like the people I like the name of the company however, it’s about 7:30 in the a.m. And felt compelled to leave feedback , im not feeling feeling sick or anything, it’s more or less a feeling of embarrassment, and ashament,and I feel like I’ve been tricked, or I got sold or false bill of goods, but at the end of the day, it was my decision to order the food, and to consume it so I take full responsibility & ultimately,lm just feeling like lethargic and dirty lol, maybe I just need to stay eating clean !!the food that I ate last night when I eat the food that’s what we’re calling the stuff nowadays,was I feel was basically processed slop!! & the macaroni and cheese pretty much just tasted like nitrates & preservatives and looked like a mystery goop,it’s that I’m not trying to be negative, and I wish the best to this organization,& side note maybe it’s just our society in today’s times even when I look around and I see people all unhealthy walking around in the world and then I look at fast food places that sell & what they sell, ……then it all starts make sense!!!with all due respect I had a good experience overall , other than the quality of the substances thats being masquerading around as food!! OMG! I love subs and salads. I stayed overnight in Lawrence while traveling and while looking for dinner options I saw you had subs and had to try it out. I WISH I LIVED HERE! I would be a regular. From the perfectly crispy bread and perfectly portions of meat to veggies. I added avocado to my sub and the amount for the extra charge was amazing, not stingy and could taste it in everybite. Then to the salads we ordered... the dressings are to die for! Seriously. Best. Dressings. Ever! Also with the portions, perfect! Lots of times when I order salads it's tons of lettuce and a couple pieces of this and a couple pieces of that... I had toppings to the last bite.
