I used to really like sandbar, but tonight I went there with 5 white people and 1 black.. three of them went out to the patio to smoke/get fresh air, when they came back in the 2 white people walked in no problem. The one black guy was asked to pay cover. He told them he already paid cover and that he had just came outside for some air, but they told him again to pay $5. My friend asked an off duty door guy named zach to please tell the current door guy that the black guy had came in with them and had already paid cover an hour ago. Zach said "yea i saw him, but I'm not working tonight." When I went to confront the guys I was told "we aren't racist there are black guys in here right now".. I really wish I could write a proper review, I'm sure it's great inside. Immediately rejected by the door guy for not knowing the address on my ID even after expressing my circumstance for frequent address changes.
It's understandable to cast judgment on ID's for someone who is perceivably younger, But they could be a little more respectful without embarrassing customers by making unnecessary snarky comments implying deliberate misuse...
