Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Lawrenceburg Township

Honestly would give zero stars if it were possible. My family and I used to go to this Penn Station all the time, however it has really gone down hill. Stopped in tonight, 30 minutes prior to close, and saw the sign stating it was pick up window only. We had been just ordering prior to tonight, via door dash, so we hadn't been aware that was how to order/pick up food lately. We drove around and tried to call and order. After 3 calls between my husband and I and it ringing all the way through, the phone began going straight to voice-mail. When we tried to order online, the website stated that the Lawrenceburg, IN store was open until 9pm, it was 8:35pm. As soon as we clicked on that store, it stated that that store was now closed and we could only place future orders.

This is ridiculous! Customer service is garbage. There were several employees inside, we saw them when we were at the front of the store. Even if they closed early, they could have answered and stated that. Google states they are open until 10pm. The new store hours are posted beside the door, but you have to go up there before you are aware that the inside is not open. All the pick-up window sign states is that it is around back, nothing about that being the only method and nothing about them apparently not answering the phones or taking orders until close or that they close early. I've ordered from this particular Penn Station on several occasions because I am trying to like it so I have given them several chances. I tried to call ahead to place my order but you just get a recording with a full mailbox that hangs up on you. I tried ordering on line but it does not give you options to order what I want ( like adding banana peppers) so I drove there, waited in line for about 10 minutes, waited on the food for about 20 minutes. The wait time is always long. The restaurant is very small and hard to maneuver without bumping into tables. When paying, I was asked if I wanted any chocolate chip cookies( which are the best) but they didn't even have any. Every time I have been to this location ( 4 times) they have been out of the cookies. I usually go around 5:30. If they run out that early they should be making more of them. I won't be going there again. I rarely give a negative review and always try more than once as everyone has difficult days. Love the food, always good. We are regular customers and the employees, manager and owner are very friendly. The manager and owner know our order when we call or walk in. About 2 years I had surgery and not able to be on my feet long enough to cook myself food and my fiancee wasn't​ going to be home until late. I called down to see how late they were going to be open that evening, I was talking with the manager, she had said they'd missed me because I hadn't been in for couple weeks. I told her that I'd had surgery can't drive and that I was hoping they were going to be open late enough for my fiancee to stop in for me but unfortunately he wouldn't make it in time.
