I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Dack’s Cuisine was so disappointing that I feel it’s important to share, especially for anyone considering spending their time and money here. From the moment I sat down, the service was off. I was not provided any silverware with my meal, which should be a basic expectation at any restaurant. When I asked, it felt like I was being an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. I ordered the chicken and waffles, expecting a comforting, flavorful dish. What I received was nothing short of embarrassing to put on a menu. The waffle was hard, and the chicken had absolutely no seasoning or flavor — not even the slightest hint of salt or spice. After one bite, I knew I couldn’t continue. To call it ā€œblandā€ would be an understatement. What made the experience worse was the manager’s response. Instead of listening or offering a solution, she came out unprompted and announced, ā€œWe don’t take anything back and will charge you for an additional meal.ā€ This was said before I even asked for anything to be done about the dish. Then, after saying ā€œhold on a second,ā€ she walked away and never returned. The lack of professionalism and respect in that moment was shocking. Restaurants are about more than food — they’re about hospitality. Dack’s Cuisine failed on both counts. The food was subpar, the service was careless, and the management was outright dismissive. Bringing a date here would be brutally embarrassing, because instead of enjoying a meal together, you’d likely spend the night apologizing for the experience. I don’t write this lightly, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There are too many other restaurants in the area that actually value their customers and deliver quality meals. Save your time, save your money, and look elsewhere.

The food is good. I was recommended this place and went to try the food. The first time I had to demand they give me more oxtail. The medium oxtail plate is $25 and that’s normal price but not for this amount of food. The first pic is when I demanded they give me more and the second time I didn’t. You see how much of a difference it is. The first time I went there, there was someone there that had the oxtail tacos and they had twice as much meat in their tacos than I had in my second (regular) plate. The last pic is the large oxtail. As you can see they strategically put the rice in the largest portion and the oxtail in the smaller portion. I basically paid $10 extra for rice. We each had 5 oxtail and most of them had fat and barely any meat. Your better off getting the tacos or something else altogether. It’s expensive to eat out and for that price I’ve gotten more other places. Your better off making it at home yourself

Visited on a weekend day; I don't recommend the oxtail nachos; only thing really appeasing is the very top that holds the oxtail pieces- I definitely feel that appetizer dish is overpriced- although oxtail is an expensive dish, the nachos really only consist of a a topping of cheese & oxtail pieces baked atop of a big bed of maybe mix of cool ranch & cheese dorito chips (not certain on brand)- with a drizzle of a cream sauce. Once you are past the top part, met with just chips & bits of unmelted shredded cheese & bit of garnish sprinkled within chips. Disappointed in that dish, expected some oxtail gravy sauce maybe in the nachos, more toppings, or something to make it a bit more savory throughout (nothing like what I saw in videos, i.e. (juicy, good cheese mounds of meat pull) - Oxtail was good & flavorful--however suggest don't waste ordering oxtail on nachos just have an oxtail dinner or maybe try the tacos. Suggestion to establishment to modify that dish-- maybe smaller presentation, adding a bit of juice/gravy or only just do a single layer of oxtail nachos (baked) as you have the the top, with a bit more sauce.

Mac & Cheese this day was not the best. The presentation was beautiful- I was excited when it came out, as it appeared the chef drizzled yam juice on top! I was like YES! I tasted it, and kept looking for a flavor to slap.. never happened & was even more disappointing as I stirred around & saw I had nothing more than a bowl of mush. Again, maybe an off day for the mac.

Red Snapper, prepared stewed was pleasant. The stew sauce held a nice flavor & the veggies were nice.

My overall experience was okay. Service was good, host & waitress were both very attentive and pleasant.

Maybe will try again another day & try other menu options. The oxtail...

I went this past Saturday and will never patronize again. My cousin came into town from Jersey and was so excited to visit this place since they had one up north and she never was able to get there yet. It was not a great experience for me. We waited for water after asking 3 different times mine came with stuff floating in it. After waiting a few minutes my cousin got her food, but had to ask twice for utensils. She was eating her food and was being asked if everything was okay while I was sitting there was nothing but my drink and water. 30 to 35 minutes in still no food. She finished most of her food which was mediocre when someone finally decided to ask if I would like just the grilled shrimp pasta because the Oxtail still had 20 minutes or so to go. I agreed and in about 25 more minutes I got my originally ordered dish with the shrimp and Oxtail. So it took basically a little over 60 minutes to get my food. Then the Oxtail fried rice my cousin ordered came out with my food it was so pepper hot it was uneditable the waitress said they mixed up cayenne pepper with it instead of paprika and mixed up the batch and served the one that was meant to toss. 😩😩😩 I live close and was really looking forward to returning but it's a hard pass for me. Terrible experience from beginning to end. It felt like my cousin was dining alone and I was there with her the whole time. The manager I'm guessing came over several times to make sure my cousins food and drinks were good, but never really acknowledged that I was sitting at the table as well poor customer service for sure. For it to be only a few customers in there is...
