Good and bad ... This is a newer Starbucks facility, having been open a few months now. Basically, when it comes to courtesy, customer service, and product, I would give them 5 stars. They have that part covered easily. However, when it comes to the culture of a Starbucks, the ambiance of a store, and honestly the business decision made here, I would have to give only 1 star ..... Thus, the average is 3 stars.
Ultimately, people want Starbucks for 2 reasons .. the products (coffee, latte, etc.), and the ambiance. Personally, I enjoy going to a Starbucks, pulling out my laptop, and getting my work done while enjoying the aroma of coffee, the sound of soft music, and the comfort of the surroundings. n this case, however, they show a beautiful facility, but allow no one to enter and enjoy it. In essence, I can only imagine they wasted a significant amount of money to create appearance, when they could have built a much smaller drive-thru-only facility that would do the same job with far less costs involved. My assumption is that the facility is bait ... you go there thinking you can enjoy it, then find out you can't, but while you are there you might as well drive thru and get the coffee you had your heart set on. And to be fair, it worked on me twice, but no more. I have begun regularly attending other coffee shops in the area, such as Einstein Bagel, where I can enjoy the product, as well as the atmosphere, and get my work done on my laptop at the same time.
While the strategy of the bait and switch can work, it is short-lived at best. Eventually, people quit falling for the bait, and you lose them in the long run. While this may bring in business early, it is not a good strategy for long-lasting repeat business, which should be the goal of every...
Read moreThis place is always packed, not to mention customer service is RUDE. Which is oddly weird considering how close they are to the hospital. I've been here about 5X since it's on my way to work, This last time I waited literally 20 min in the drive thru with about 12 other cars in front of me. The drive thru area is small so cars were literally out by the stop sign. I get to order my total is about 17 bucks with change. I wait a while more get to the window and when I hand him the 50 bill he says sorry this starbucks doesn't accept bills larger than 20. Like WHATTTT??? Since when, and why make people wait over 30 min in the drive thru with a screaming toddler hungry for his breakfast sandwich to get told sorry we can't take this. I was mainly just upset after waiting more than 30 min in the DRIVE THRU. Do better. I know yall had change how is this place more expensive than McDonald's and they can't provide change yet Dunkin an...
Read moreI just made a mobile purchase to pick up in-store arriving at 7:30pm to pick it up. As my family and I were walking up one of baristas ran to lock the door. There was a customer at one of the tables looking puzzled to why that was done. I saw 2 of my drinks sitting in the pick up area ready. We were not acknowledged at all. I decided to get back in the car and use the drive-thru. When I arrived to the window, I inquired to why the door had been locked and why we weren’t acknowledged. I was told that they closed the lobby to “count money”. Which did not make sense because my mobile drinks were waiting in the pick up area and a customer was still in the lobby. Trying to not blame it on race but I see no other excuse. The baristas and the customer...
