Will Henry's Tavern — Restaurant in Lawrenceville

I really wanted to like this spot. My husband loves to try new places and he lives for grimey bars but this spot missed the mark in several spots.

We visited on a Friday afternoon. The spot was pretty empty save for about 2 tables and some bar patrons. The waitress acknowledged us immediately which was great. I asked about drink specials and she said all well drinks were $4.25. I ordered a pineapple and vodka. It was strong so I was happy with that.

My husband ordered chili appetizer and we ordered wings for our entree. It took at least 30 minutes just for his chili to come out. When my husband mentioned it, the waitress was like,” I know right!”

His chili smelled delicious but was completely devoid of any flavor. After my husband added about 3 tablespoons of salt he was okay. The chili would have been awesome if it had some type of seasoning. Some jalapeños and cumin would have been awesome.

We got 10 sticky wings and 5 mango habanero wings. When we “finally” got the wings, I was unimpressed. It tasted like they cooked the wings and then just tossed them around in sauce. The sticky wings were tremendously honey forward. If you love sweet, then these wings are for you. They weren’t for me.

This sports bar has pool tables and electronic video games. It has a bit of potential but between the long wait for the food and the lack of seasoning, I have no immediate plans of returning.

There appears to be live bands on the weekends. Also they do not provide detailed bills. Ours was off by $1.45. May not seem like a big deal but...

Let me tell you about this place. I went here with some friends to hear a band that we know (Boomer X 🤘🏻). I had never been here. My partner and I were starving and had a very hard day. But, man, when we walked in and Molly took care of us... "Hell of a day" became "Heaven on Earth!" Molly is a Rockstar in herself! Best waitress ever! She kept my drinks full, took my order, and I never lacked a thing, all the while taking care of every person in the place by herself! The cook... exceptional!! Wings to die for.... fish platter that makes your mouth water.... made my partner special Coleslaw because not one other person ordered it that evening... and don't get me started on the sauces!! You name it, it tastes yummy!!! 😋 the atmosphere was fantastic! Not one tiff or negative person! Everyone is friendly. Music was rocking, and dancing commenced! I think I love Will Henry's Tavern!! Stop in!...

Only been there once. It was a friday night. Got there about 9pm and it was absolutely packed. There was a live band playing so it might be the reason for the crowd. We did not eat so i can't comment on the food. What i will say is that as packed as it was, we squeezed up near the bar and the bartender immediately saw us and asked what we needed. We ordered a couple of beers and got them quickly. Then we found a corner to stand in and a server came by a couple of times to see if we needed anything.
