China Wok Express- CASH ONLY — Restaurant in Lawton

So you're craving some Chinese food huh? New in town? Here for a short visit maybe? I'll be honest with you, the food is perfectly average and extremely edible. If you've had Chinese food before, then you have likely had worse and certainly had better.

But that's not what drove me to take my time to review this restaurant. If you're unaware then you should know this place is cash only. Yep! It's December 2021 and Cash only. I thought mattress places were the last tax evasion/money laundering schemes in town...but no, sub par egg rolls are an option for the local mob too I guess. I digress...

So I had the same craving you do now. I wanted some sugar chicken and greasy noodles. I knowingly spent the 3 extra dollars to withdraw actual paper money from an ATM like a caveman that needed to buy some skunky weed from his friends dealer from highschool.

I proceeded to the China Wok Express to satisfy my insatiable need for deadly levels of MSG. I ordered the combination lo mein, combination rice some other forms of cat...etc. The total was 42 bucks and some change. I had three 20 dollar bills. I tendered all of those bills to cover the bill.

The 16 to 20ish looking young white kid with freckled noodle arms initially gave me 1 dollar and some change in return for my cash. Now I'm no good will hunting but I knew that wasn't right. I called attention to it and the cashier/grifter admitted their "accident" and gave me what looked like the honest change.

Golly gee darnit was I disappointed to find out it wasn't. He palmed a 5 and looked me straight in the eye with confidence. I'm impressed.

So yeah, bring cash and your appetite because the portions are American and the food isn't...

I live Las Vegas and Orange County. When I visit Lawton Oklahoma. This place is number one on my list of places to eat next to Ken and Leo truck stop. And I love everything extra extra spicy and most people do. I order the triple delight, no veggies, just broccoli, no shrimp because there not raw shrimp which would butterfly up in the high heat of a wok. The beef and broccoli is good and the chicken fried rice extra spicy. You really have to get on them to make sure they do a good job because it's really not consistent. And the management and staff will fight with you all day which makes the customer service at this place -10 out of one out of 10. They are horrible with customers service. But if you noticed there is a line always on the inside and out. People love there food, so do i. It's a comfort food. Try the triple delight. The flavor is addicting and have you coming back for years. The Chinese and white female managers do not care at all what you have to say against the company or staff. They don't care if they loss a customer. Because those lines are always there and people love there cooking. There doing something right. The food that I ate for the past 16 years there has been good. The other Chinese spot called China express is really good! ! China wok is a comfort and they know how to make it...

To Bob Morris's review. Please be accurate in your review. We don't have cups of duck sauce. We have cups of sweet and sour sauce. What you ordered was a cup of sweet and sour sauce and an eggroll, which our surveillance camera shows you did in fact recieve and our register copy showed you did in fact order. You came back with an attitude, no doubt because you are frustrated you ordered the wrong thing. Had you come in with the food and reciept, it would have been easier to solve what the misunderstanding was and could have been corrected. You came back in hostile still saying you did not get the SAUCE, which is why the employees told you, you did get the sauce. If you would have said SOUP when you returned and brought the receipt and sweet and sour sauce back they would have told you, you ordered wrong and they would have corrected it easier. Finally another employee understood you wanted a soup. You would have gotten a refund of the Sweet and sour sauce if you would have returned it. Employees ring up and pack the items the customers stated. They are not mind readers to know what you meant. Everyone makes mistakes, and we fix ours. This was yours. And by they way, please show fast food worker some respect; you are no better than they are. You owe...
