Wayne's Drive Inn II — Restaurant in Lawton

I couldn't believe all the stalls available for drive up. They even have picnic style tables near the grass with order stations at them. The menus are worn, but not so bad I couldn't read them.

The burgers were delicious. Almost reminds of the flavor of In-N-Out Burger from out west. I liked the fries as well, but they didn't blow me away like the tater tots did. The wife could not stop raving about the tots.

The staff was nice and tolerant to my bumbling self as I drove from stall to stall until I found a menu station that wasn't too worn. They all had the same amount of wear and tear. Good thing it was late and there was hardly anyone else was around. Imagine how many I would piss off by going from stall to stall during a busy lunch hour.

The waitress was so kind and full of smiles as she patiently reset all the knobs, buttons and switches that I messed with while trying to figure out how to work the menu station in the dark. At this point you should be realizing that this was my first visit. She seemed to be happy to help as she, with her eyes closed, undid everything I screwed up. Must happen quite frequently. I didn't feel so bad after thinking that. Maybe it was her bright smile that put me at ease.

Anyway, how this place can improve in my eyes: Only things holding me back from giving a 5-star rating was the worn out menu. Fix that and add the Impossible Burger to the new menus and this place will be a 6-star franchise. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this to all burger lovers and car hop enthusiasts out there. I live in OKC where there are Sonic's everywhere. I can see myself devising an excuse to come to Wayne's to avoid Sonic's nasty food if I was in the 'burger-from-a-car-hop' mood. Love their salads! That's the only food item I get from there. I've heard they have other great selections but never tried them! SOOO UPDATE! After my review 2 months ago, I decided to try something else...a breakfast sandwich! It was delicious! Almost to the last couple of bites and there was a long string of hair logged in my teeth! I was so disgusted, that I threw up all of it almost instantly! I called to request a refund, which the lady was apologetic and nice about it! What disgusted me even more, was I went to go pick up refund, every young lady in there had long hair beyond their shoulders with no hairnet, hat or anything! FYI, the food is good and you may haven't experience what I have but to know that, I can never eat there again! Every time I think about it I get...

Always a wonderful experience! I felt guilty for my late arrival... approximately 45 minutes before their closing time but I was welcomed with a warm, friendly smile on an unusually chilly evening. My large order was prepared promptly and upon inspection after my 20 minute trip home, everything was piping hot. It's always comforting to know that your food was prepared fresh. The steak fingers were MASSIVE! I had the steak finger dinner and ordered an additional side. I'm a big dude and I struggled to finish half of it! The burger my son ordered was also huge! It likely weighed more than my wife's dog! Undoubtedly tasted better too. Anyway... I can't wait to go back! Thank you for the awesome service and...
