Check your charges after you leave because they’ll charge you for someone else’s table! Despite soooo many things going wrong, the food was good. We were sat in a back corner booth and it took forever before someone came to ask what drinks we wanted. 3 of our 4 drinks were right. That last drink was way off, and when our server came back much later with the correct drink, he made some weird excuse that it took so long because he had spilled the first one all over himself, although he was completely clean and dry. It just felt awkward. We ordered our appetizer and meals together since we had more than enough time to read the menu. He came back later and said they had forgotten our appetizer but our food was almost ready, and since our food was similar to what would have been in the appetizer, he was willing to give us free dessert instead. Didn’t seem like a bad trade, so we agreed. We didn’t get to choose what beans we wanted so we had refried (I had wanted black beans), and my chicken chimi was definitely filled with beef. Despite that, the food was still yummy. When it came time for dessert, he said he could only do two for free. Ok, it’s not what he told us before, but we didn’t push. We split the check for our table as we were there with another couple. The server told the other couple they had still been charged for the appetizer but he added a credit to their bill and they had one of the free desserts. Our check appeared to be right and also had one free dessert, however when he came back with our cards he had his manager with him, and apparently she had to run our payments through because he said he was having difficulty swiping. We found out later that difficulty was because he charged someone else’s check to our card. Turns out that check was for a very large table and we were charged 5 TIMES the amount of our check. When I saw the charge the next day, I called back to see what was going on, and it was our server who answered the phone. He says he had told us that night that he had mixed up the tickets because he was trying to do two things at once, but that’s not how he had explained it to us at the table and he definitely didn’t tell us the ticket he accidentally charged us was HUGE! We’re still waiting for the banks to sort it out, and in the meantime, that enormous charge is still being withheld from my bank account. It was a pretty hefty mistake with no compensation offered other than a “I told you about it already” and “when the charge goes all the way through it should be correct.” Tell the chefs they did an amazing job, but thanks to service, we won’t be back to Garcia’s after...
Read moreI was really disappointed in my visit today. It was my mother in laws birthday so we decided to take her out to a nice dinner. Upon arrival the hostess was really nice and seated us the restaurant was mainly empty with only two other families seated. We looked over our menus and decided what we all wanted to get, and waited for our server. Ten minutes later our server brought us our chips and quickly walked away, without taking drink orders or really saying anything. We watched as he went to the other two tables and brought them drink refills and talked to them. Then he disappeared. 15 minutes later he finally came back to take our order. He didn't smile and acted like he didn't want to be there. I went first ordered my drink and food and he said "mhmm anyone else." He rushed us through the rest of our orders not even letting my little brother finish saying what side he wanted with his kids meal, and walked away. The first plate to come out was my little brothers mini corn dog meal (with no side.) My little brother took a bite and said it was ice cold, so my husband tried one and it was definitely cold. So we told our waiter and he apologized and said he would have them make him a new batch. Meanwhile we received the rest of our food which wasn't worth the price the beans and rice tasted like they were frozen food that they had reheated in the microwave. My taco salad shell was burnt and didn't have a lot of meat. My mothers chimichangas were over cooked, and my daughters mac and cheese was cold. On top of everything when they brought my brothers plate back they were completely burnt, it looked like they had taken the originals and threw them back in the fryer and forgot about them. They were so hot my little brother burnt his hand trying to pick one up. When we told the server they were to hot and burnt he told us "well he can just take them home" and gave us the check, which was really overpriced. At this time a new family had just arrived and was being seated and we watched as our server rushed over to them and smiled and talked to them while he took their orders. This was the worst experience we have ever had and it ruined my mothers birthday dinner. I'm sorry for the long review but I think everyone should know what happened before deciding...
Read moreOn Monday evening, I placed an online order for curbside pickup. I got to the restaurant about 10-15 minutes later and called to let them know I was there, like their email told me to do. The woman I spoke with seemed a bit confused and asked, "So you ordered but didn’t pick it up?" I say "Yes, I ordered a few minutes ago. (my name), it's a curbside order and I’m out front waiting." She said OK and we disconnected. I waited about 4-5 minutes and called in again. Same woman answers and tells me, We’re to busy to bring your order out.” The parking lot was not super packed, there was no one waiting for a table. So I said, "Sorry your busy but I really need carside pickup tonight!" (I had no shoes on, was wearing PJs and my hair was truly tragic) She sort of mumbled something, (probably calling me names) and then just hung up.
So I hopped out of the car and ran across freezing pavement in my bare feet, in the door and tried to emit a ‘don’t look at me’ force field as I hurried back to their bar area. The seating in the bar area had one table of 2 people, SO BUSY! Anyway I get back there and a man asks if he can help. I told him I had carside pickup but was told by the woman answering the phone, and pointed her out, that you guys are to busy tonight to bring out my order. He said What!? I said Yeah, she told me you were super busy and I needed to come in for my order. By this point, she was hurriedly walking away because she heard/saw me pointing her out. This very nice man inside apologized profusely and said they were NOT to busy at all. I thanked him and got out the door before anyone else saw me.
The snotty little tart who answered the phone that night and flat out lied to me is not someone I would want to have working for me, that’s for sure! If she doesn't want to carry to go orders out to people she should go find a different job. Instead she chose to lie to a long time customer not to mention just being rude and irresponsible. The man I talked to inside was so nice! Most of the people who work there are super nice...
