Don’t eat here. Unless you like very dirty silverware. Really gross to sit at a table prepped for 4 with 5 forks that have crusty old food stuck to them, 1 knife with a food Klingon and 1 greasy knife. EW!
Don’t order the ribs, unless you wanted burnt tasting, jerky-like crispy crusty used to be meat. Meat so dry it’s sucked all moisture from the dry bones. So tough the store “owner” , Managing Partner Jaclain, couldn’t put a knife through the meat. So who is the kitchen manager and food expediter overseeing this mess?
I wasn’t nice to the first manager that stopped by the table as I handed her the disgusting silverware. I was rude and asked how dirty the kitchen was.
And here is why I wasn’t nice tonight: a little over a month ago we were begged to come back by another shift manager after another terrible experience. You see we were seated and ready to order as soon as we were greeted. Drinks and food order placed and maybe 2 minutes later my wife’s meal arrives. But no drinks. No salads for our starter. Just her meal. We sat and waited for drinks and salads to arrive for 10 minutes. Not wanting cold food my wife starts to eat. She was half done before our server ever returns to see how we are doing. My wife asks if she sees anything missing from the table. She asks me if my prime rib had been delivered to me? No, nor the drinks or salads. She was nice and quickly grabbed drinks and salads. About 5 minutes later I receive a thick piece of weird prime rib. Rare on 1 side, end cut on the other side. I was given the end cut and likely the last piece of the night. But no au jus to go with it. Annie our server checked on us again and I asked for the au jus. 15 minutes later a manager stops by. She was very nice. I asked her to chat for a minute and asked why she saw untouched salads on the table, my wife’s empty plate and my still waiting for au jus to eat. She listened well and said she was sorry and said she would be right back. She asked us to come back another night and give them a chance to provide the excellent experience they want to deliver. We said we would likely go to Bountiful instead. She then comped our meal and asked us to come back another night.
So we came back tonight. And it was gross silverware and yesterdays petrified “rib” jerky. No apologies from the first manager, but I was rude to her saying I bet the kitchen was dirty, too, and I didn’t believe her otherwise.
No apologies from “the owner”. She said she heard about the silverware. I asked her to try and put a fork through the half slab of ribs. She asked to borrow the knife instead and stopped as soon as she felt their tough and dry crust. She asked if I wanted different ribs and I replied no. She took the plate and i said i was so upset because if our last experience. She appeared skeptical and asked when that was and i shared some of that experience. Again no apologies and she sent our sever with a ticket discounting my portion of the meal. She then returned with a $30 meal voucher and asked us to come back again. I told her we wouldn’t come back. Rosie our server was a sweetheart. Nothing tonight was her fault. She said the ribs had looked bad all night long, though ….

Read moreI absolutely love Texas Roadhouse and almost always my chicken patty is shaped like a heart 💓. Awesome 😎👍 smiles let's see more enthusiasm in your dancing please 😊. Heart award given and best of state location with plenty of parking spaces clean and sanitary Yee hah. Only down fall my favorite cactus blossom is expensive and most of time to big to order " Lonely Dove Rider " Oh 🥶 Brrr yelled out gatekeeper as he leaded his horse 🐎 through the narrow canyon walls and such a narrow path they called loneliness. Don't look down over the edge concentrate and focus keep a steady line. Little did gatekeeper know his true love was already at their destination of travel she was perfect 😇❤️ and always focused on the right hand of God and sitting there waiting for him to attend her every day life. But gatekeeper loved her so much he would do anything for her. Is this the love that I'm feeling or this the love ❤️ I have been searching for all my life. I should have known better than to let her go alone. I can barely make it on my own. I haven't slept for days all I want to do is hold her in my arms and sit right beside her anywhere she goes or attends. The 🌬️ began to blow harder and harder and the snow covered the little path and the 🐎 was struggling. Suddenly the horse went over the side gatekeeper was lucky there was a small overhang and he laid motionless and in pain. The horse 🐎 was gone. He began to 😢 and began praying. Dear Heavenly father please send me your right hand and lift me up to safety. I lay motionless in the valley of the shadow of death. I feel no evil. Please forgive my trespassers. Suddenly God lowered his right hand and placed him on the road ledge and they both sat there. Sorry replied gatekeeper and God put his arms around him and hugged and replied. Ok son now look down. What do you see 🙈? Gatekeeper replied along way of outer darkness. Exactly! What should you do? What ever she tells me too? Where is she now are you sitting next to her and attending meetings.? Are you praying together and feelings of love and studying together? I have saved you once more now please pick your hat up dust the snow 🌨️ off it and your pants 👖 and cowboy 🤠 up. Gatekeeper did as told and walked that narrow path and found his sweet love down below that mountain. she was sitting on a stool reading the book of Mormon. She yelled out about time I was starting to get lonely too. It's been two days now. What took you so long? Well beautiful 😍 you are absolutely amazing and got the looks and definitely use both sides of your brain 🧠🤍. The only way I've gotten this far is prayer and your perfume but definitely your "Hair" keep me focused on you and only you. We are definitely a match made in heaven 🤍🙌🕯️. Someday I too pray to come back 🙏. But sitting without companion. I'll just ✍️ instead. Those that have someone. Choose the right. Mine 🤍 I guess is in heaven. Oh 😳 but gatekeeper holds the 🗝️ s. Just need to dust them off. Anybody got any WD-40 out there please...
Read moreOn the evening of Wednesday, April 26, 2023, my wife, children, parents, mother-in-law, and I — a party of nine — dined at Texas Roadhouse in Layton, UT. We arrived at 7:20 PM and promptly put our names on the list. The staff at the counter requested we notify them as soon as our entire group was present, which we did six minutes later. We were then directed to stand on mat number 3, where we were told our table was assigned and we would be seated shortly.
However, after fifteen minutes, a group of twelve that arrived after us was seated. This caused some irritation, but we decided to wait a bit longer. Ten minutes later, a group of ten was seated, prompting me to inquire about our delay. We were told our tables had been assigned, but the previous occupants hadn't vacated despite having paid their bill. We patiently waited as various other groups, including a group of eight, were seated. After forty-five minutes of standing on mat number 3, a staff member informed us that our table's previous occupants had checked out almost an hour ago but hadn't left.
By the time we were finally seated at approximately 8:50 PM, it was nearing closing time. We placed our orders promptly. About twenty minutes later, the waitress returned with part of our order and informed us that they had run out of baked potatoes, a side dish included in three of our orders. Two of us opted to substitute the baked potatoes, while one decided to forgo the side entirely.
Our orders continued to arrive, but unfortunately, many items were incorrect. Instead of receiving the correct side dishes, mashed potatoes were served with sour cream and butter instead of the requested country gravy. To our surprise, the potatoes were only partially mashed, revealing half a baked potato inside. Despite the error, my father, being the easy-going person he is, decided to eat them as served.
Contrary to our past experiences at this location, no manager visited our table during this visit. We felt neglected, as if we were intentionally being avoided. Despite the disappointing night, I must mention that our waitresses were extremely courteous and appeared to be doing their best under the circumstances. They were not responsible for the kitchen running out of supplies or the prolonged wait to be seated, so we did tip them generously.
However, after spending $150 on a dinner fraught with frustration and errors, we have decided not to return to this location. The unfortunate events of the night were a significant deviation from the quality of service we have come to expect from...
