This might very well be the most amazing Morgan Jewelers location in the history of all Morgan Jewelers. I would not have gone into Morgan Jewelers except earlier in the day I had looked down and my ring of 23 years was missing the solitaire diamond and the crown. I was distraught and upset about this loss. My husband suggested that we go ring shopping and find something new. I agreed but didn't have much hope in finding anything that I would love. So when we walked into Morgan Jewelers we were greeted by Dan, who listen to me tell the story of this loss and then proceeded to find out my taste in jewelry and what I was looking for. He took the time to show me several varieties and selections that fit within my taste and help me to narrow it down to a final two selections on rings. I was having the hardest time deciding which is when Portia Came in and help me to finally pick the ones that I would be wearing for what I hope is the rest of my life. It's a beautiful ring from The Love Story collection Dan worked with financing and got us set up on a plan with 0 interest for 12 months. It really was a perfect ring and a perfect situation. Both Portia and Dan were the most helpful people in turning around what was a truly bad day when you find that you've lost a diamond.
Morgan Jewelers had excellent customer service and did everything they could to help me choose something that would be perfect. Flash forward to a week later. my husband and I had a vacation planned to go to Las Vegas. I will not give all of the details of what happened on the day that we where to leave and go to Las Vegas
But just let it be known that it was probably the worst day in history, at least for me. A domino effect of bad luck seemed to be following me that day. after finally checking into our hotel in Las Vegas we were in our room and packing and I look down and notice that I was missing another diamond from my brand new ring in the channel setting.
What the previous events of the day that had not gone very well, mixed in with the previous loss of a diamond I was a little distraught to say the least. I called Morgan Jewelers and ended up on the phone with Andrea. she listened to how my day had gone and how I had lost another diamond. She was empathetic, caring, and understanding and did everything that she could to call me down and let me know that they would make sure that my ring was taken care of when I got back to Utah. I am sure that it's not easy to deal with a crying woman on the other end of your line but Andrea did all that she could to comfort me and help me feel better about the situation. When we returned back to Utah after our weekend I went directly into Morgan Jewelers to hand over my ring so that it could be sent for repair. this is when I met Jonathan. he told me that Andrea did all that she could to make sure that I wouldn't have to go another day with a ring that was missing a diamond and he handed me a brand new ring it was exactly the same as the one that needed to be repaired. They did a full Exchange for me right then and there to make sure that I had a ring that was whole and complete. The entire team at Morgan Jewelers is amazing to work with. They bent over backward to take two terrible situations and turn them into something wonderful. I know that I can rely on the team and Morgan Jewelers to take good care of my jewelry and me. I would recommend them to anybody who is looking for a new ring or any other kind of jewelry. Even while I was there Portia took the other rings that I had not purchased from Morgan's and she cleaned them up and made them shiny and new as well. What a wonderful experience from something that was so Dreadful to turn into something so exemplary. I will never shop another jewelry store in the future knowing that there is a stellar team working right Within Layton. I highly recommend that you go see each and every one of these...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI loved, past tense, this store. My husband and I have bought Jewelry here a few times and have always had a great experienceā¦ā¦.. Until now. Last December (2014), I bought myself an earring and ring set. I was very apprehensive to use the credit I had available to me but I did and charged the purchase to my account. I specifically asked and was told that my purchase was calculated for 24 months and that paying my minimum payment would have it paid off in 24 months. Because I have bill pay and knew what my minimum payment was I always just paid it through my banks bill pay and never looked at the itemized bill statement. Today I noticed that although I am supposedly 1 year away form paying it off, the balance indicates that it's not possible. I called them and they had the nerve to tell me that they calculate for a 24 month payment plan but that it actually takes longer to pay off. I asked the associate if she thought that was dishonest especially since I was told something completely different (24 months to pay off) by the sales clerk and she said "No, I don't think it's dishonest". What!?!?!?! She said that the sales associate probably didn't understand the credit program. Well, that's possible, but that's not what they told and sold to me. I was very clear and asked many specific questions to make sure what I was committing myself to and this was not it! I think that whether the sales clerk understood the "credit program" or not, this is a huge problem between their sales associates and the credit department! But does that mean I should still pay for this under the current undisclosed terms??? No I don't! I should at least be extended the opportunity to return the items or receive some sort of equitable offer/compensation to correct or better this situation. But the customer service I received was appalling! Let me just say that my husband and I own our own company and our customers are our 1st priority in our business. They are our bread and butter and we take care of them. If I were working for this company I would be embarrassed and if I had a say I would do something to help the customer instead of taking their money and running! I will NEVER...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDon't waste your money going here for repairs. Just find a real jeweler who will help and admit when they are wrong. I originally brought a necklace here to be repaired after I was having problems closing the clasp. The jeweler at Morgan's in Layton told me that the issue was with the clasp itself. She said it would be $150 to replace the clasp. Once the necklace was sent off, we were told they were out of yellow gold clasp's and that they would put a white gold clasp on it. I agreed to this to get the necklace back faster as we were soon to be moving. We got the necklace back the day we moved and immediately starting having the same issue but I didn't have time to take it back. We decided to bring the piece to a local jeweler in our new area and they said the issue was in the piece that the clasp connects to. They fixed the issue for $40. 7 months later and the clasp breaks on the necklace. I call Morgan's to tell them all that happened and what we dealt with. They said that we could take it to another one of their locations but that we would have to pay full price for the issue as our 6 month warranty was up. A warranty on a faulty product that didn't need to be replaced in the first place. I didn't even get an apology for a poor job. But wait, it gets better. We took the necklace back to the local jeweler here in town and they said that the clasp was sterling silver and they could replace for $50 NOT $150 that Morgan's charged us for the same exact item. All of this to say, just go somewhere else. I can't speak to the jewelry Morgan's carries but their repair services are awful so don't waste your time or money because you will only have to pay to get it...
