Some nights you are Freddie Freeman and some nights you are Nestor Cortes. Tonight, this Handel’s was Game 1 Nestor Cortes.

Went to this Handel’s tonight which is normally good and consistent and was just bizarre. Had about 21 people ahead in line with 4 employees, and took about 35 minutes to get through the line. So that’s like each employee serving about 1 customer per every 6-7 minutes. Not great, Bob!

At one point, a guy on the phone delayed the line by about 3 minutes. Human rain delay. Line stopped. Employees stopped instead of working around him. Acted like he had the nuclear codes or something. And at one point an Uber Eats guy came through and looked like he waiting for an order for 5 minutes and then left the Wingstop and took the ice cream. Is this a Godfather movie? “Leave the wings, take the cookie dough.”

But the biggest disappointment was the ice cream. Got the buckeye, which is always reliable. Took two bites and the consistency and texture were horrible. Not creamy. It was chalky. Would have been smoother if made with water and peanut shells. I asked for a replacement, which they were kind enough to do. Switched to the vanilla raspberry chip, which unfortunately turned out to basically be vanilla. Had so little raspberry that even La Croix Sparkling Water was embarrassed. And the chip part was right. I think it had one chocolate chip.

Overall, not a great experience. Hope the next one is better. That’s why although tonight was truly a 1 or 1.5 on the satisfaction scale, I’m leaving them an overall 3 for previous...

I'm preaching here, yet it needs to be heard. I don't know if the ice cream is any good or not, I didn't allow myself to get passed the menu, the prices were shocking, and they charge extra for every little thing---this was a huge turn off to me in that isn't it enough the already high price that they charge, they feel it necessary to charge more extra for an extra cup, or a cone? I walked out hearing in the background "have a nice day", I won't as long as greed surrounds me, and as I walked back to my truck I reflected on how earlier I had eaten at a Asian buffet for the same price of the extra charge/extra thick shake...no doubt a corporate portion control edict. Meanwhile an Asian buffet struggles, they literally give away plates of food just to draw a few customers, while this place gouges customers out to satisfy their sugar addiction...and the line is out the door! Is this a white people supporting white people thing, or is corn syrup, cane sugar, and milk solids really worth $8.75 in an extra thick shake? (The girls in Vegas charge extra too for their exta thick milkshake.) I simply hate places such as these, they don't care about people, they care about maximizing profit...just another rich person's investment paying off. Glad I walked out, and can enjoy my day knowing that I didn't allow myself to be taken advantage of an ever growing, "thick", mindset: That greed equates to goodness...are you...

I try to give benefit of doubt to most things. I had frequented the store until I got tired of the filthy appearance of the ice cream shop inside and out. It’s been since spring that we were in. Today we pulled up and the sidewalk was covered with old Dried ice cream and the windows and door inside and out were filthy. We opened the door the two employees were leaning on the wall and one on the back table. When they finished talking the boy came toward us and asked what we wanted. He broke the cone while scooping but served it any. The temperature of the ice cream was so soft it started to drip immediately. I asked for a cup to put it in. It was melting by the time I got to car. The pint he scooped had ice cream left around the outside . I asked him to wipe the outside with a wet cloth . They had two cups for tips that said Disney old or new. Tacky get rid of them. The inside walls. And floor had dirt shoved into the corners and crevices. The counters tops and sides had old ice cream dried on . This us the same condition the store was in at spring time. I don’t mind paying for a good product but your store is part of that product. You need to hire a group that really knows how to deep clean your entire store. Get it back to SPARKLE!!!!!! I wanted to call the owner . Not post but I had no choice. So I hope this help . Check your temperature on your freezers. I hope the owner...

10/10 would recommend. We stopped here today in celebration of National ice cream day and this place didn’t disappoint. There is no seating, so be mindful of that. When you walk in, there’s a menu to your right, a menu in front of you, and a tv screen also depicting a menu. One shows you all the different flavors while the other two menus explain how many scoops you can get in a waffle cone, waffle bowl, regular cone, sugar cone, or a plastic bowl. My boyfriend was feeling adventurous and got 4.5 scoops in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. I am regretting not getting a waffle cone because it was delicious! He got a scoop of OREE-DOUGH (which was good) and a scoop of BANANA CREAM PIE which was his favorite. I got 2 scoops in a plastic bowl. One scoop of OREE-DOUGH and one scoop of SALTY CARAMEL TRUFFLE. The salty caramel truffle was by far my favorite and I will get it again. My ice cream was $5.25 and his was $7.25. They don’t skimp on proportions, so come prepared to stuff your face. It was absolutely delicious and worth every penny!

It’s 9:30, the line is out the door, and one of the employees is busy stacking all the chairs and stools as if the place is closed—leaving customers with nowhere to sit. There’s an older man behind me who is visibly upset, and honestly, I don’t blame him. They’re still open for business, yet instead of helping with the rush, that employee is more focused on closing. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service. If this were my team, there’s no way I’d allow anyone to treat paying customers this way while we’re still open.

I come to Handels for the Buckeye flavor. Today the Buckeye was completely different and inedible frankly. I didn’t notice before leaving, but the texture is NOT creamy. It is somehow dry gritty AND oily, like the peanut butter is making the ice cream base gritty. The peanut butter flavor is rather intense, and the mouth feel is strange. It doesn’t melt like normal ice cream, it sticks to your tongue. I’ve never had it like this and it is truly disappointing. I hope this is not a permanent change, and just a bad batch.
