My family and I went to this store yesterday. It was a disaster the minute we walked through the door. I used the kiosk to place and pay for my order to save time. I did not receive a receipt. I immediately went up to the counter to let them know. After much confusion, they told me my order was up on the screen and everything was fine. About 15 minutes later (they were not that busy) they informed me they did not have ice cream for the 2 Mcflurrys I had ordered. I told the employee that was a problem, they should have told me sooner, due to the fact that my daughter with Type 1 Diabetes had already given herself the insulin needed to cover the carbs in the shake. The employee laughed and commented "really she has Diabetes and you are letting her eat ice cream"? I replied "YES" she can eat anything she wants as long as she give herself insulin for it. The employee began talking over me and telling me she was a nurse and new all about Diabetes. I told her, she really should do some research because her comment was offensive and ignorant. I then changed my order to 1 Mango smoothie (because I need to get something in my daughter before she fell to the ground in a seizure, we had been waiting so long) and I asked for my money back for 1 of the McFlurry's. It took over 5 minutes for them to get me my refund. The young man working the register was clearly miserable and not interested in providing good customer service, in the meantime, I still did not have my other order. About 5 minutes later we received the smoothie. It had now been well over 25 minutes of waiting. My husband was calling me to see what the problem was because I had been in the store so long. He came in to relive me from waiting because I had told him what the employee had said to me and the tone in which she had used, and he could tell how upset I was. He continued to wait, watching order after order go out to the drive up. He finally came out to the car, without any food and without any money returned. We are sure the employee who spoke so ignorantly was purposely not giving us our order. I hope the company gives her my $20 bucks so she can put it towards re-educating herself. I have had a lot of interesting comments come my way and so has my daughter in regards to Diabetes. Never have I been so upset and especially by someone who thinks they know what is best for my child more than I do. This was completely out of line. This person clearly needs to go back to nursing school and also work on her bedside manner......
I will make sure to let everyone, friends, family, people in my diabetes community to not be a patron...
Read moreI was in the Hillfield Road store on Monday, July 24 around 9:01 AM. I ordered hashbrowns and black coffee with no cream before Splenda.
I got my order very quickly and I pulled through the drive-through and parked my car to enjoy my food. I ate my hash browns first. Then I got ready to drink my coffee… I never put my mouth to the coffee cup . I just open the top a little bit to make sure there was no cream inside.
But there was cream in the coffee. So I went back through the drive-through, and the recording told me to pull to the second window. When I got to the second window, a young worker… female Filipino descent, I believe… Looked at me like she didn’t know what I wanted.
I explain to her that I ordered the black coffee, no cream, but this coffee hair cream. She was adamant that she did not put cream in the coffee and she said I made that coffee and I didn’t put cream in it. I was perplexed because I’ve never use cream… I don’t have cream in my car… And why would I do that anyway?
So I told her I did not put cream in the coffee… My receipt shows no cream. So she went ahead and made me some new coffee. Brought it to me. I tried to give her the original coffee and she said I can’t take that and I said can you just throw it away and she says no I can’t take that.
It was how she talked to me that is very concerning. First of all accusing me basically I’m putting cream in my coffee and then how she told me she couldn’t take the coffee. I understand health cod guidelines violations / but she definitely could have responded to me differently. I posted a picture of my receipt. I should’ve taken a picture of the coffee in the cup but I did post a picture of the copy that I poured out into the driveway.
I hope the McDonald’s management read this review. She should’ve just re-made my coffee with a smile. I’m sure she gave me someone else’s coffee. But basically accuse me of putting cream in my coffee is just absurd. I am a professional in this community… Very well educated and well-known. But even if I wasn’t. She should not have talk to...
Read moreListen [read this] I do not rate fast food joints on account of them being fast food joints. Come on, I mean honestly what do you expect from people who are paid as minimally as possible to feed you and get you out the door as quickly as possible? ( not facts just an an opinion)... However this McDonald's in particular made my night! After a long and rough day I went to an entirely different McDonald's to get the kids and I dinner because I was certainly not looking forward to cooking tonight. And I decided that I could really use a pick me up shamrock shake. The guy taking my order told me their ice cream was all down and they couldn't make me one. After paying for my food I watched them hand out two flurries to guy in front of me. I figured maybe something was wrong with their mint flavoring or the shake machine so I let it go. I went to three other places that might have minty flavored shakes and every one of them at least told the truth about how they were all out of mint or that they didn't even carry that. And I was ready to give up on it but, then I came to this McDonald's. I asked if their shake machine was working and the guy taking my order said it was so I asked if there was anything wrong with the mint flavor and there was a pause... He came back on and said that unfortunately there was an issue with their mint flavor but that he could make me any other flavor. So I asked if they were just out of it and he said no they have the flavor but he would have to mix it by hand and with out hesitation he said" you know what... I got you man it is no problem" . And you know it might seem like maybe that was his job but he could have dismissed me like the other guy at the other McDonald's so when somebody goes an extra mile for service I think it should be recognized. So as long as I continue to get this kind of service here I...
