When we walked in we were kind of quickly helped by the only person working the front area. We took our seat and he came to take our drink order. My boyfriend asked for a cup of water while I asked for a bottled water. The waiter went to get our drinks while we looked over the menu and he came back in like 2 minutes. So far, so good, right? Wrong. Instead of water, he brought my boyfriend Coke. I tell him that he asked for water and he says "are you sure?". I could understand messing up a drink order if the place is packed and this guy is the only one working the pick up area and the dining area all at once. But we were literally the only two people there. It wasn't like he was being pulled in different directions all at once.
However, my boyfriend just tells him its fine, he'll have the Coke. The waiter says okay and walks away. 40 MINUTES passed until we got my boyfriend's pizza, and another 5 for my calzone and side order of fries. I was hungry and we had been waiting so in between the time they brought the pizza and my food, I ate a slice of the pizza and it was great! When my food arrives, I was so ready to dig into my ham and cheese calzone... but instead I cut into a sausage and cheese calzone. I know lots of people love the sausage used for pizzas but I am not one of those people. I just don't like it. Politely, I called the waiter over and let him know that I had asked for ham. With the calzone wide open he asks me "what is that one?". I calmly replied it is sausage and that I do not want it. At that point, I had to leave to go back to work from my lunch break so I let him know I didn't want anything anymore. He took the calzone back and asked if I wanted them to make me another. I again told him no. I have one hour for lunch, I ordered the lunch special and it took so long for them to bring it out even when we were the only two people there.
I am not sure who is serving all the other people who seem to love this place but I wish we would have been served by one of them. We had never been here before and we are always looking for new places to try. When I saw how many great reviews this place had I thought, why not give it a try. I hardly doubt we will be returning though. If it was this bad during an hour when there was literally only one table to serve, I don't want to imagine how badly we would be served if we went...
Read moreI give Luigi’s a solid four rating. It was good. My beautiful bride had the sampler off the lunch menu and I had the cannelloni off the lunch menu. Soup was good in my opinion, tomato basil, my wife wasn’t a huge fan. Fairly large portions for ordering off the lunch menu. Personally, I would choose a different vessel for the sampler just to be able to more clearly define each item. Food was good.
Little taken back when I ordered a bottle of wine. My wife and I planned on on two glasses a piece from our bottle. She brought one glass. I told her I wanted the bottle but I would drink the glass as well. Her response was, “ no one ever orders the whole bottle”. Anyway, then we had to remind her to bring the bottle. She was pleasant and attentive. We arrived and no one was there then about four parties came in after us. Not a big deal she was pleasant and trying hard.
We will be back. Over all, very pleased and I heard positive things from others in...
Read moreI think everyone that gave this place 5 stars has no taste buds! I ate here 2 years ago and decided to give it another try. Now, my husband and I are regretting it as we both have a stomachache from their food. The only thing that tasted good tonight was the garlic rolls. I got the Italian wedding soup which was tasteless. The meatballs in it looked and smelled like Alpo dog food! My manicotti was awful. The red sauce tasted just like a tin can and the the noodles were all mushy and definitely not fresh or homemade. My husband ordered some kind of seafood Alfredo. The sauce was watered down and tasted extremely fishy. He ate a few shrimp and noodles and couldn't eat anymore. It doesn't take much to make homemade sauces instead of using it from a can and then watering it down. I am all for supporting local businesses but if the food isn't up to par, it's not worth the money. I won't be...
