Came in to get my daily order today: Venti Iced White Mocha + Breakfast Sandwich. Always get no ice & no whip. Two reasons for No Ice: One, the Ice melts in Houston heat & humidity & drink gets watered down QUICKLY. I like to add ice as I go. Two, paying nearly $7 per drink, I'm not into paying for 3/4 cup ice with a little bit of drink over the ice. When paying $7 a drink + a breakfast sandwich (another $6), EVERY DAY, this shouldn't been an issue & hasn't been the past 20+ years. Today the girl at the counter told me I can no longer do NO ICE and get a full drink. I'd need to pay for the entire drink, but have some of the drink left empty where the ice would have gone. It's now their "status quo" or something like that.
THE SOLUTION..... I simply canceled my order (breakfast sandwich included), and told the girl i dont need it that bad. She was polite by the way. Non-compromising, but polite.
I will now be using my home brew (BIZZY COLD BREW from Amazon). Add Sweet Cream or White Chocolate to it & it's really good. I'll miss getting out for my daily Starbucks drink & meal, but I can't justify paying $7 for a cup of ice with a little bit of coffee, milk & syrup. More importantly, I'm just not into giving my money to places who feel I'm lucky to be giving it to them & need them. I'm perfectly fine without Starbucks.
All in all, this is actually helpful in many ways: 1- I'll save about $13 / day × 7 days = $91 per week × 4 = $364/month. Or $4,368/year. Message to Starbucks: Hopefully not filling the drink up is worth that amount?
2- Making my own will cut some calories, which I've been wanting to do. This just helps solidify that decision!
I have $77.58 left on my Starbucks card that I just refilled. I'll use that up when I travel somewhere, then toss it.
Thank you Starbucks for this new policy. It pays for most of my new Range Rover SPORT i...
Read moreThis location is in an unfortunate place for traffic reasons, but of course traffic wasn’t so bad when it was built. It’s still my go-to location if I’m not in a hurry. Though I will say the one on the other side of the freeway is pretty fast considering how busy it gets. The parking situation can also be a pain. I once witnessed someone damage their own hummer trying to back into a parking spot.
Indoor and outdoor seating available with tables for small groups or pairs (check ahead during COVID to make sure). Chill environment inside but not a huge location. The inside of a Starbucks has to be one of the best smells.
Never have I had any issues with my orders and I’m prone to ordering those obnoxiously long drinks, if straying from a basic cold brew. I had a new cinnamon oatmilk espresso something or other yesterday that was delicious. Food usually hits the spot when I get anything, too.
It was years before I started using the app, but it was order ahead/pick up easy and checking out quick and your tip doesn’t blow away on a windy day.
Here’s a tip: Don’t be a jerk and empty your cars garbage out in the drive thru for staff to have to clean up. Yeah I’m taking to whoever did this shortly before 8PM 3/27/2021. You stink. The staff are always kind and don’t...
Read moreIf i could give it zero stars I would. THEY ARE THE MOST INCOMPETENT PEOPLE ON THE PLANET. 9 times out of 10 they get my drink wrong. This becomes very problematic because I have a severe allergy to regular milk, so I must get soy. They almost always give me normal milk, even when I ask them about 4 times if it's soy (which of course they say yes and then I end up very very sick because it isn't soy). Not only do they make horrible drinks, but they also get the food orders wrong, which I didn't even know was possible because the menu is so straight forward a 4 year old could "make" or get the correct pastry if asked. Whenever I go there it's like talking to a wall, but I'm sure the wall could do a better job than these inept people. I've given this place about 50 different chances, and they've messed up about 45 of those 50 times. I'm never going to this starbucks again and I would urge everyone to never...
