We arrived around 8pm, and ordered bang bang shrimp & crab topped fries for appetizers. The bang bang shrimp was REALLY delicious, and unfortunately the ONLY thing we ended up liking... The fries barely had any topping: a tiny bit of shredded crab (so little, i forgot it was supposed to have crab) and little bit of sauce on top and no seasonings, although the menu calls them "seasoned fries". The sauce that was served ots with the fries was really good tho. For entrees, we orded two 7 oz sirloin steaks which we asked for MEDIUM RARE. The steaks were served to us completely WELL DONE and very dry & chewy. They asked us to cut into the steaks to make sure they were good, but it was already 8:45 by then and they close at 9, so we didn't say anything because we didn't want to prolong our wait and stay after closing time. I orded bacon mac & cheese as one of my sides, and there was NO CHEESE!! It was more like dry garlic macaroni with bacon bits. No sauce and no cheese. Why call it mac and cheese if there's little to no cheese???????? Other sides that were ordered included broccoli, mashed potatoes, and Cole slaw. The broccoli and potatoes were OK; just basic. The cole slaw was... Different. It definitely had a lot of apple cider vinegar in it. None of us liked that either, but to each their own. I'm sure someone likes their Cole slaw like that, but I've had cole slaw from many different places and honestly that didn't really taste like cole slaw to me. I was mostly upset about the steaks BOTH being over cooked. Like how do you mess up a basic medium rare steak?? We like our steaks with a little blood, that's why we ask for them medium rare. So why would you serve completely well done, brown steaks that are DRY??? Regardless of the food not being good, we left a good tip because the waiters / waitresses were nice and attentive. We spent about $130 including tip. The atmosphere and service was nice, but we won't be returning due to the food being low-quality and over priced.
EDIT: Attached you will find a photo of a properly cooked medium rare steak, made by yours truly đâ¤ď¸ Bonefish Grill,...
Read moreI recently visited Bonefish Grill with a group of friends and family. We were there for approximately 3 hours and had a wonderful server tending to us, however, towards the end of our visit, I have to say, it became quite disappointing. Towards the end of the night, the restaurant manager approached our group with a rude and condescending tone, questioning us about the amount of drinks we ordered; note, it was not an excessive amount whatsoever. There were about 10 to 12 of us, with each of us having ordered about 2 to 3 rounds of drinks amongst us within the three-hour timespan we were there. The manager's attitude was unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome. Despite our efforts to be polite and understanding, the manager continued to be dismissive and condescending, approaching our table at least three times within 30 minutes. It felt as if she were trying to usher us out the door. Which we certainly did after her attitude towards our group made us all feel uncomfortable. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a customer service setting. We were treated with a lack of respect and courtesy that I've never encountered before. We have enjoyed dining at this establishment and have been frequent patrons. Unfortunately, we will no longer be patrons at this establishment which is very disheartening as my family, friends, and myself, have always enjoyed dining at Bonefish Grill in Leawood Kansas. My company has also held networking events here; we will no longer be giving business to this location. My personal dining and professional gatherings will be taking place elsewhere where we are not judged or treated like irresponsible hoodlums.
I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that treat their customers with the respect...
Read moreI am going to preface this by saying I have eaten at this location plenty of times over the years, and always had a wonderful experience. My most recent experience was the first time in the past year. Unfortunately, after this experience, I can assure you we will not be returning.
It was Motherâs Day, so obviously expected to be busy. However, we made a reservation two weeks in advance to be at 4:45pm. Our entire party was present at the time of our reservation time. We expected and were fine with waiting 5-10 minutes since we knew they were busy. That being said, I did not expect us to have to wait until 5:20pm to be seated. In the meantime, I was able to observe tables that were empty for about 10 minutes waiting to be bussed, the hostess just standing there while she could have been helping with turning tables given the insane crowd of people packed in the lobby as well as outside the establishment. When a busser finally arrived, he moved at a snailâs pace. All the while wondering who the hell was running this place.
We only had to wait a little until we saw our server (granted that it may have felt like a short amount of time compared to how long we had to wait to actually sit down). Nonetheless, we were ready to order everything as soon as he arrived. Our drinks and appetizers came out in a timely manner, and the food was and always is, delicious. That being said, we waited an additional 45 minutes for our entrees to be ready. In the meantime, our drinks were almost empty, our server was nowhere to be seen, and no one bothered to pre-bus all of the empty dishes we still had in front of us in that same amount of time.
When the food did arrive, it was hot and the majority of us enjoyed what we got. I must say, the sweet n low and the A1...
