This was my first time trying Viva and was really excited since the atmosphere looked nice & it seemed perfect for celebrating my sister’s bday! However... I can honestly say that we paid more for the atmosphere rather than the food. If you’re wanting authentic Mexican (which I already knew wouldn’t be) don’t go here! Even if you like Tex Mex, the food still wasn’t impressive. Food presentation was fine, but there was absolutely zero seasoning or flavor! Not on the chips and not in the entrees. It was a bit disappointing because we expected a burst of flavors from these colorful dishes, but it seemed as if the chef was having an off night. I ordered the cantina bowl, and it was very bland. The carnitas weren’t juicy and had no seasoning. I guess the best tasting thing was the Texas dip appetizer, but it was unfortunate that our chips were so bland. I took my food TOGO because it just wasn’t good enough to finish. When I got home, I had to doctor it up with my own rice and beans and added salt, lime, with a cilantro dressing, which tasted WAY better!! Not to add salt to the wound (no pun intended). At the end of the day, atmosphere was great. Place is spacious and perfect for big parties (they have a private room too). Our server Juan did a great job taking care of us as well! But if the food isn’t good, that’s a problem.

🌮🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If you're in the mood for a fiesta in your mouth, Viva Tacos and Tequila is where you need to be! Our recent visit turned into a culinary adventure, thanks to our server, the legendary Antino. Picture this: we walked in, utterly clueless, like lost sheep in a field of margaritas and guacamole. Enter Antino, our gastronomic superhero! With the wisdom of a taco sage and the patience of a tortilla whisperer, he guided us through the menu like a pro. "What do you feel like eating?" he asked. "Umm... food?" we replied, proving our expertise in ordering. Antino didn't even flinch. With a twinkle in his eye, he recommended a spread that was nothing short of divine. We had tacos that danced on our taste buds, burritos that hugged us from the inside, and tequila that made us feel like we could salsa all night (disclaimer: we can't). The food? Out of this world. The service? Straight up world class. Antino not only anticipated our every need, but he also somehow knew our spirit animals (mine's a taco, by the way). He made us laugh, cry tears of joy, and consider quitting our day jobs to become full-time taco enthusiasts. Viva Tacos and Tequila, with Antino at the helm, is the place to be for a night of epic eats and unforgettable service. 10/10, would get lost and found again here any day. 🌮🍹🎉

Came in on 11.5. Never been here before and was recommended this place by a coworker. Menu looked great so we were excited to try it out. Arrived and seated quickly right at 6PM. Took awhile for server to come over but we were provided with chips and salsa. Not busy by any means. Maybe 25 people in restaurant total. Took our drink orders after waiting 15 minutes. Ordered a soda and mexican old fashion. 15 minutes go by. No drinks. Flagged down waitress and asked where drinks were. Drinks came 25 minutes after we had sat down. Thr old fashion drink was about 2 fingers of drink. I was in shock. $15.00 for a couple gulps of a drink? We ordered the fresh guacamole at the table and I opted for the bacon and habernero listed on the menu. Guacamole presentation was boring, silent, nothing special. Guacamole tasted okay but was very chunky. I asked about the bacon and habernero as I assumed that would be chopped up and in the guacamole. Nope. They later bring out a plate full of bacon with haberneros. Like breakfast bacon. Some cooked some chewy. We were shocked. We've now been here 40 minutes and still have not ordered. We opted to get the check and leave. No manager in sight. No one running this restaurant. Bar tender non existent and was waiting on tables. Never got the opportunity to eat as we didn't want to spend 2+ hours here. Place looks really nice on the inside. Completely mismanaged or lack of management. They all have ear pieces in, not sure what those are for since there is no coordination. 30 minutes for a drink? Not acceptable. Waitress was like a robot, no emotion. Not a care in...

Went here the day BEFORE Cinco de Mayo, it was basically empty in there when we walked in around 11:30a. As soon as we told them there was about 20 people in our party it was like they instantly got overwhelmed. Again, there were only two patrons sitting at another table and the staff. We were celebrating a birthday so I called them the day before to see if they have the “margarita flight” and they said yes. I also just checked their website and sure enough the “margarita flight” is on the menu. When we tried to order them for the birthday girl they said they don’t make flights. The birthday girl ordered quesadillas and it came out with no pico or sour cream. She asked if she could have some and the waiter said no, it doesn’t come with it. She said she would pay for it but he still said no. You mean to tell me you can’t buy pico and sour cream?!??! I don’t know if it was a language barrier or what but at that point she asked if she could order something else. The manager came over and told her she could and as him and the waiter walked off, they seemed very agitated and mumbled something. She said never mind and canceled her order. I had the chicken & shrimp fajitas and the chicken was bland. Overall, the service and the food was mediocre, the waiter didn’t refill water or salsa unless we asked and it took forever…….I won’t be patronizing this...

BEWARE OF THIS RESTAURANT!!! From the rude service and dried out food, to me having to go back because our waiter overcharged people at our table, leaving himself a larger tip than written. Our experience was horrible. It took our waiter (Alex), an hour and a half to take our order, 3 of 5 pleople at the table never got their water refilled after asking multiple times. After multiple attempts of calling his name and being ignored, he walked to our table with salsa & chips. After one of the ladies at the table said, "thanks, we weren't sure if you heard us", his response was, "yeah I heard you, I'm just busy right now" and walked off. After snatching menu's from all the guys at the table I spoke to the manager (Emmanuel) about the service and why I did not leave a tip for Alex. Only to check my bank statement a couple of days later and see that Alex decided to leave himself a tip (30% to be exact). When I went back and spoke to the manager who was little to no help. I had to go back home and find the receipt. He then tried to offer me cash out of his pocket. Not knowing if it was tips from other workers I demanded it be fixed in their system. When he finally did what he needed to do and print me a new reciept I left with intentions of never going back. Other people at my table went their own routes to get their money back but all-in-all... it was a...
