We very rarely eat fast food but we decided to have a special treat after having a stressful day. So I installed the Burger King app, assuming they would have specials and coupons for new subscribers or something like that. Which they did! Really good offers. Nothing that fit our wants exactly (we could never eat TWO "meals" -- meaning burger 🍔, fries🍟and drink🥤. We wanted 1 burger by itself, and 1 meal) but we were able to get the lone Whopper sandwich for $3, and we paid the regular price for an Impossible Whopper meal. All of that went splendidly. The app was easy to use, everything went fine there (and I loved the fact that I could adjust the toppings, not just whether or not I wanted a particular topping but if I wanted more or less of a particular topping period that was not something I was expecting from Burger King) and we got the confirmation, etc., And followed the instructions, which were: Drive up to the order display screen (where you would speak your order to the cashier if you were going through the drive-thru like normal) & say "I placed a mobile order on the app for John Smith) * = whatever your name is. And I kid you not, the person inside Burger King was so exasperated that I had placed a mobile order! I would think they'd be happy about it! They don't have to worry about handling payments they don't have to do much of anything except grab the three items and put them in a bag!!! We were the third or fourth car in line to get our food and it took like 25 minutes to get to the window. It was completely absurd and completely negated the whole idea of using the mobile app to get your food. I highly doubt I will ever do anything like that again, using the app I mean to place an order for pickup, but if I do, I am going to have to go inside the store because the way it worked or rather didn't work at the drive-thru window was beyond ridiculous. There was absolutely zero benefit to using the app for ordering take-out, in fact it was a major disadvantage doing it that way. So as much as I love the impossible Whopper and the fact that it is the only reason I can go to any fast food restaurant because they're the only ones who have such a thing, I think from now on it'll be ordering in...
Read moreWe’ve gone here twice in the last 3 months and had identical experiences. Each time we had our kids and the baby was sleeping. Each time we just wanted a quick lunch before our 45 minute drive home. Both times we were told our orders were too large. Both times we pointed out that there is no signage defining a “drive-thru sized” order. Both times an absolutely MISERABLE woman who seems to hate her life and all of ours sniped that we would have to pull around and it would be another 10 minutes (after the 15 we spent waiting to place our order and the other 10 waiting for the orders to be filled in front of us). My husband felt bad for them so he walked in to get the order while we waited in the car. As he waited the very miserable nasty manager continued to snipe and gripe about large orders in front of my husband....as if she didn’t know he was there. My questions are: what’s the difference between the drive-thru and the lobby if we end up in the lobby picking it up anyway? Different cooking methods for drive-thru vs lobby?? And what is the difference between looking a person straight in the eye and trying to belittle them in the first person vs complaining, quite loudly, like the most unprofessional leader of a team ever....with the customer she’s targeting standing 2 feet from the counter. BK- fire Ms Misery and get someone new there. Read moreThis place needs to close up permanently and give it up. Been going since they opened. Even after having to close and rebuild after a grease fire they STILL can't get anything right. They're going to HAVE to what with the dismal management. Multiple times going there for an ADVERTISED sandwich and they don't even have it. MULTIPLE times my wife going there to pick me up lunch with a specific drink AND THEY DON'T HAVE IT. Today, at 6:00 PM the stupid door is locked because there was only TWO people working there so they couldn't man the counters and the drive up at the same time. AND they AGAIN don't have the advertised sandwich I wanted. I'm a patient guy. So patient that I've waited YEARS for them to get their act together before lambasting them online. No more. If I could give negative stars I would. Don't even bother wasting your time on this dump. I'm a BK fan since the 1970's and I would rather just go to McDonald's next door even though I don't prefer the food there because at least I can get what I expect to there. This place has been a joke for years and will likely be forced to close eventually due to lack of business. I don't know what the deal with corporate is with this franchise but if they do manage to stick around it won't be because of their business. It will be because corporate owns the Real Estate and simply wants to hold onto it until it's worth selling.
