Gruto's Soft Serve — Restaurant in Leesburg

Grutos is alright. If you ask my kids and wife though, they’d give it five stars. I will add this though, I am not a big soft serve type person, I like my local creameries, like tipped cow and honey bee, and I even love cold stone and just traditional ice cream above all. So my review is based on my family and others who enjoy this type of ice cream.

I wanted to add that disclaimer, as Grutos really is a soft serve specialty and they have some of the best options I’ve seen. My kids and wife have plenty to choose from and they tend to try something new each time.

The place is always packed with customers and they do a great job with their service. It’s a nice little shop and atmosphere as well.

I can’t say enough about this place. Just driving by, based off the sign, I knew this was gonna be some yummy ice cream, and it didn’t disappoint. Service is fast; the kids who work there are really sweet; there are lots of options for toppings, sundae’s, and sizes.

Plus, the soft serve is absolutely delicious. I’ve had the vanilla chocolate swirl so far and the vanilla raspberry swirl. Both so yummy! I want to go back every day. Because I’m a visitor in town, I just might do that🩷😅

Ice cream was good. Would have been 5 stars except for the way they made the orders. They took multiple orders before completing one, which is fine except it wasn't clear whose ice cream they were preparing. We ordered the same sundae as the person before us, unbeknownst to us. When they called the order, the other person took it assuming it was his since he ordered first, and it turned out to ours. They had slightly modified it so it wasn't exactly the same as ours.
