My husband and I came here Saturday night to listen to the bank Comic Book Colors. The band was awesome but the dining/drinking experience was not. We arrived at the bar and were greeted by a lady, but she didn't ask if we wanted anything. She then left and the two other bar tenders didn't even notice us for at least 10 minutes. It was like we were invisible. It was about 7:45 - 8:00 so the bar was not busy at all. Finally a guy came over and he said hopefully the lady had taken our order. We said no, she had not. So, he took our order. When the band was setting up we decided to move over to a table. At one point the one guy (from the bar) asked my husband if he wanted another drink but he never brought it. He had completely forgotten. Had to wait until the lady came back and then re-ordered one. Throughout the night we ordered a few more drinks, the service was a slow. We decided we wanted to order a snack, so since I didn't see any waiter in sight I grabbed a menu from the empty table next to us. I was looking at the menu and then placed it on the table. Then the guy at the table next to us flagged down the waitress and asked for a menu, and she grabbed the one from my table and gave it to him without asking if I wanted anything. I waited about another 15-20 minutes before I flagged down the waiter, and asked if I could order something. I asked what came on the cheese fries, because sometimes they come with bacon and sometimes not. He looked at my like I had 3 eyes and said umm.....cheese.... I asked if I could add bacon and he said yes. When the food was delivered the lady plopped the plate down and there was just cheese on the fries, no bacon. She didn't stick around to make sure our food was OK, and I was hungry and didn't want to send the food back, so we just ate it. My husband and I looked at each other and just laughed. Nothing seemed to be going right for us that night as far as wait staff service. I felt like we were being...
Read moreThis is not actually a bakery despite the signage out front. Apparently this is a contentious issue with the Town if Leesburg but it should have been a telltale sign to run. The place looks worn and if in England could have passed for a cozy pub if the food or service was acceptable but alas it was not. We had ordered a pizza for the kids but it came out smelling off to which the waitress also acknowledged. We thought maybe they used different cheese however they said only mozzarella so certainly off. They did not charge us for this however so service gets bumped up a bit. The fish and chips was also a disappointment although the fish was actually decent, the fries were undercooked however and even out bc Holden snubbed them. The apple juice was fermenting and the waitress told us the ice cream was unavailable as they were defrosting the freezer which may explain why everything was off? I don’t know but would not recommend and would suggest a refresh...
Read moreI came in the afternoon with family to celebrate my brother in laws birthday. We are all English and were hoping for some authentic food. When we arrived we were the ONLY people in the place. The waitress was lovely but the food took AGES to come. I ordered bangers and mash, desperately hoping for something similar to the real deal. It was utterly disgusting. It was Italian sausage cut up, covered in green peppers on top of lumpy mash. My brother in law had the fish and chips touted as the best in Virginia. It wasn’t cod or haddock but white fish. This might not be a big deal to some but if your gonna say your an English pub then you have SOME standard to live up to. Maybe this place is a cool night spot but I wouldn’t know and I...
