Yikes! I would call ourselves Starbucks Regulars. We shop two to three times a week at various shops. One of the advantages of being a regular customer at Starbucks is that you know exactly what something is going to taste like before you order it. The downside, of course, is if a drink is not made properly, the customer knows it immediately based on prior experiences.
In this case, we ordered two Espresso Frappuccino drinks. What we received resembled a vanilla shake. We inquired with the Barista to confirm we received the correct order since the drinks looked “different”’than our previous experiences at other Starbucks. He assured us it was made correctly. We pressed him on the issue, and the manager chimed in that quote “we were welcome to look at the recipe book”. We declined, and took our drinks.
After sampling, we both determined they were undrinkable. Sickeningly sweet with no discernible coffee flavor, let alone Espresso qualities.
We decided to ask the manager to exchange the drinks for something else. We had purchased the initial drinks utilizing the Starbucks App and had applied some “Star Points” to the payment. The manager could not credit the “Star Points” back, and since we exchanged the items for less expensive items, we lost about $6 worth of value.
The replacement drinks were the wrong drinks. We had ordered the Sweet Cream Cold Brew, but they brought us regular Cold Brew. After the ordeal with the first set of drinks, we were in no mood to once again try to resolve the issue with the less than accommodating staff. So, we tossed both drinks in the trash and left.
Starbucks Regulars, save yourself a headache, and...
Read moreStarbucks on Edwards Ferry Rd...... I am an avid Starbucks customer and normally go everyday. I am sure there are quite a few reviews on Starbucks but I wanted to talk specifically about one of the two (2) Starbucks in my area. I want to start off by saying that I am a picky customer when it comes to how I want my coffee but this just entail that I do not want Whip nor do I want Foam. I order a Tall, White Chocolate Mocha with no foam and no whip. I have to say that the Starbucks on Edwards Ferry Rd. gets my order right most of the time! Not only that……more times than not the taste of their drinks are on a more consistent basis…..not too sweet and not too bitter (just right)!. I have ordered the exact same drink at the other Starbucks location and for the most part, my drink always comes with foam (even when I ask for it not to) and the taste of the drink is NEVER consistent. I can go two (2) days in a row to the other Starbucks (not the Edwards Ferry Rd.) and the drink will vary differently from each other…..each time! The customer service is great at the Edwards Ferry Rd. location and if the order ever has foam and I ask for it to be removed it is handled in a courteous manner without the attitude!
Thank you Starbucks on Edwards Ferry Rd. for being my...
Read moreMaybe is my luck, but it has happened twice already that when I rate a place with 5 stars something happens and it makes me come back here to change it to 3 or 1 star. In this case, I'm sorry Starbucks, your coffees are still the best, but the prices for The Washington Post are veeeery wrong and you need to fix this. Today is Sunday, March 13th, and it said it was $1.50 (keep in mind that I've bought it for this price and for a long time before, as well as for $1.00 at The Dollar Tree) so I thought that was the amount I was going to pay, but no, the register showed $2.00 so I thought that it was a mistake, then the cashier scanned it and it showed $3.50! I explained the $1.50 story to them and they refused to give the paper for the announced price of $1.50. Then, the Manager said that the cashier made a mistake inputting the price for weekdays and I told him that if weekdays were $2 and Sundays $3.50, why you have it announced for $1.50?! Well, I bought it for $3.50 but I was very disappointed and obviously I am...
