I've been to this Chipotle probably 30-35 times over the past 4 years and there have been some times where I got a decent meal with normal portions. My main complaint is not about the size of the scoop of meat though, it's that that management seems to kids that are between the ages of 18-23 that are scared to please the customer. I've witnessed the shift leads/managers argue with customers in front of me when trying to serve dark brown guac, dry scraps of meat at the bottom of the pan, or wrapping the burrito terribly with rips in the tortilla with the insides all pouring out all while the customers are only asking to have a fresher portion of food. This has also happened to me the past 4 times IN A ROW that I have come here. This time I showed up and asked for a chicken burrito, they said they were out of chicken and it would take about 20 minutes before there would be fresh chicken. I asked if I could have steak instead without paying the difference and the shift lead came over, had me repeat myself, and then said "yeah that's fine but you'd just have to pay the full price for the steak". I said again, I want chicken but you don't have any and I can't wait 20 minutes for chicken, can you not just make this right and hook the customer up? They said no and I ended up getting what seemed to be a half portion of steak, a slopping wet, poorly wrapped burrito with all of the ingredients separated on each half of the burrito. I can't keep defending this location. The PG location is great, the Vineyard location is great, the Provo location is great, the Saratoga Springs location is great, but for some reason this location is employed by uncomfortable teenagers that are coerced into not pleasing the customer by their leaders and it's clearly causing a lot of unhappy customers since this location has been review bombed with 1 and 2 star reviews. I get that Chipotle is being dragged through the mud right now for their Ex-CEO being a loser that wants to shrink portions and raise prices, but just try harder to at least accommodate the customer when you're out of product or train your staff to securely wrap burritos and...
Read moreWow this place is bad, like others said. The front line people needed to be trained or fired. I understand it is hard to get food workers but these young ones are not cut out or not ready for these simple jobs of putting food together and taking money.
The tall skinny guy was struggling to put a burrito together. Probably bad portions, he could not close the burrito. I watched him struggled for probably 2 minutes, staring at him trying to squeeze the burrito every which way to roll the tortilla up. Then he ripped it multiple places, so he moved it to two new tortillas and double wrapped it.
The food counter was filthy with sauce and dropped ingredients. I just watched him dragged the wrapping paper over sauces and cheese and lettuce while he put ingredients in.
Then the short hair girl with glasses was also bad at her job unfortunately. She poked through the previous customer's burrito bowl somehow, and it started spilling sauces. Not a good look. She yelled for another tray to put it in. She double trayed it and then tried to put it in the bag. The customer asked why is it leaking like that, the girl said, "I don't know, I have never seen it like that." then she proceeded to put the leaking double trayed burrito bowl into the paper bag. The lady was not pleased but she left with the food.
This chick then charged my card, then said, "you are all done!" after the payment was processed. No offer of a receipt and the burrito was still sitting on the counter where the guy left it. So I asked for a bag. She struggled to pull a bag out and then ripped the first bag. So she had to get a second one.
I could not help to shake my head. These kids are so clueless and untrained. I should have just walked out when the guy was prepping my burrito. It was gross watching someone play with your food for minutes. And the double tortilla is not the way to go.
This place does not deserve any business. How can corporate allow it to be run like this? Is the manager a teenager...
Read moreWow.. Let me start this off by saying I have never given a negative review in my life, but this was so bad, I’m not even sure how to describe it. For starters, my bag arrived and it was disturbingly light. Upon further investigation, the bowl wasn’t even half full. Irritating, yes, but not enough to inspire this review. However, upon tasting my sad chicken bowl, I was mercilessly thrown into a decision I have never made before. The need to leave a 1 star review.
We are all aware that Chipotle has a standard taste. Everything is prepared the same way with the same seasonings, so it has a signature flavor that’s distinguishable as The Chipotle that we all know and love. But not this time. It honestly tastes like I was a contestant on Hell’s Kitchen, America’s worst cooks, and I plated this dish with tears in my eyes knowing my dreams of cooking were about to be dashed. The chicken is so dry and charred to the point where it just tastes like burnt chicken. I thought maybe it was a few charred little ends that I could overlook as “giving the meal character”, but no. It tastes like the chicken was thrust directly into a camp fire, or if I were to lick the blackened top of a grill, perhaps.
Furthermore, the guacamole tastes like mashed avocado and lime juice. Nothing else. No spice, no flavoring, just an avocado beat into submission and splashed with lime to add insult to injury. The salsa tastes.. Well.. I guess it doesn’t. It can hardly be detected at all. And the seasoning in the rice and beans seems more like they looked at them with the intent of adding a spice, rather than actually doing so. Telekinetic spice, if you will.
Anyway, I don’t mean to keep you all day. I will simply leave you with these parting words. Please, I beggeth thee. Invest in more 1-on-1 training with the cooks, and be sure to tell them it won’t kill then to add a splash of something other than contempt...
