Three stars align for Five Guys, a place where America's classic meal - a burger and fries - attempts to find its foothold. The undeniable quality of their food is thwarted by the questionable pricing, creating a culinary paradox of sorts.
Right off the plate, Five Guys bowls you over with their selection of burgers: delectably juicy, cooked to perfection, and amenable to an impressive assortment of toppings. The fries, cut fresh with a hint of rustic skin, compliment the burger's richness well. They are hearty, crispy, and possess a flavor profile that oscillates between subtly sweet to sinfully salty.
However, here is where the plot thickens. The pricing for these tantalizing meals might leave you wondering, "Did I accidentally stumble into a high-end steakhouse?" The costs, alas, lean more toward the dignity of fine dining rather than the affordability associated with fast food chains.
This incongruity between cuisine served and prices charged rests uneasy on the palate. Yes, Five Guys delivers splendidly on quality and consistency; every bite of burger and nibble of fry tastes as it should, delicious. Yet, the pricing determines the borders of accessibility and shapes our expectations, something Five Guys may need to re-evaluate for achieving a broader palate pleaser.
All in all, Five Guys dwells in the shadow of culinary tension, juggling between fast-food's simplicity and upper-tier pricing. Their offering could be a treat for your taste buds but be prepared for your wallet to bear the brunt of this gastronomic experience. Take it as given with three stars - a place guaranteed to serve delectable food but at a higher price than...
Read moreI love Five Guys, and this location's food quality is on par with other locations! They have amazing burgers with plenty of room to customize just the way you like, complementary peanuts, freestyle coke machines, and they always give you a ridiculous amount of fries, it's great.
Recommend: Cajun fries, grilled mushrooms Don't recommend: jalapenos (raw, untamed, way too spicy for a burger imo)
I would give the restaurant in a vacuum 5 stars but the problem with this location in particular is that it seems like something is always broken or missing. Fry sauce pump is regularly empty or broken, and maybe this is just placebo but I don't think the cups are as good as the stuff from the pump. Coke freestyle machines never seem to be fully functioning, sometimes the ice won't come out, sometimes they drip on me, sometimes they're out of order, etc. Also, I feel like the amount of fries I get is really inconsistent. Sometimes I get practically a whole paper bag full, sometimes there's hardly any outside of the cup.
None of these complaints would stop me from going here, but they do prevent it from feeling like a 5 star...
Read moreI really like their cajun fries. Food is awesome if it doesn't sit in a bag too long. I got stuck in traffic and couldn't eat my burger for 30 minutes. So needless to say it was soggy when i got home but when i eat at the restaurant it is always good. Never disappointed and always tastes fresh, fries included. They have fry sauce which is an awesome plus. And this location is super convenient. Sadly i got excited too early and thought they had a drive thru but its a panda express. Bummer! I love that my burger is so customizable. Which is great for my picky hubby. They are probably on the pricey side of the fast food choices but quality is great. And their burgers are nice and big. I always end up getting the little version. I do feel like $4 for a plain hot dog is a little over priced but hey I'm always getting the burger. I would recommend it and i will go back again for sure. Those fries are...
