I recently had the opportunity to try out Mo'Bettah's Hawaiian food, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. I was expecting a culinary adventure that would transport me to the beautiful shores of Hawaii, but instead, I was left with a mediocre dining experience.
Let's start with the ambiance. The restaurant felt cramped (long slow moving line) and lacking any authentic Hawaiian atmosphere. The decor was minimal, and the overall vibe was underwhelming. I was hoping for a more immersive experience, but it felt like any other run-of-the-mill fast-food joint.
Moving on to the food itself, I found it to be quite disappointing. The menu offered a limited selection, and the options lacked creativity. I decided to go with their famous teriyaki chicken plate, hoping for a burst of flavor. However, what I received was a bland and unexciting dish. The chicken was on the overcooked side and lacked any depth of seasoning. The rice was also disappointing, bland taste.
The portion sizes are weighed to a specific amount, removing or adding tiny morsels to get the weight just right. Like... Come on, give a big fella some love over here. When does panda express bust out their scales too make sure they are not accidentally giving you more food.
I guess I was hoping for more of a bold and authentic Hawaiian flavors, but instead, I received a lackluster imitation that left me unsatisfied. The overall quality of the ingredients seemed average at best, and it felt like they cut corners when it came to the food preparation.
To make matters worse, the service was lackadaisical. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. I had to wait longer than expected for my order to be taken, and even then, my food arrived lukewarm. The lack of enthusiasm from the employees definitely impacted my overall experience.
Lastly, let's talk about the pricing. Mo'Bettah's Hawaiian food is definitely not worth the money. I expected to pay a premium for a taste of Hawaii, but the lackluster quality of the food and the underwhelming experience left me feeling ripped off.
In conclusion, Mo'Bettah's Hawaiian food fell short of my expectations. From the lackluster ambiance and unimpressive menu to the mediocre food and lackadaisical service, the entire experience left much to be desired. If you're looking for an authentic and memorable Hawaiian dining experience, I suggest...
Read moreI stopped by the Lehi location tonight to pick up my online order. It was ready on time, which I appreciated. When I checked the food before leaving, I saw that several pieces of the teriyaki chicken were completely burnt (not just charred, but black throughout large pieces). I asked the cashier if I could get a replacement piece of chicken that wasn’t burnt. She seemed nervous and went to ask the manager. He looked at it, told me it was “supposed to be charred,” and walked off with my order upset. When he came back with a whole new meal, I politely explained I was only asking for one replacement piece of chicken, not a new entire meal. Instead of handling it calmly, he seemed irritated and told me that since I had touched the food, he had to throw it out.(I only opened the box to check to see if the order was correct before leaving). The interaction felt very uncomfortable. I was polite and reasonable, but the manager made the situation feel contentious, and even the cashier looked uneasy, almost scared, around him. I eat and order big catering meals from Mo’Bettahs in the area often and have never had a problem before, but this experience was disappointing. The food was good in the end, but the customer service could have been handled with a lot more professionalism. I hope if there is something else that was bothering the manager tonight, it is not taken out on future customers or...
Read moreI came in with my family at first everything was great I even tipped the employees. We paid about $100 for our food. One order was missing shrimp the other had the wrong chicken. No big deal, it happens. I asked for them to be fixed, and they gave us the shrimp and instead of swapping the chicken they replaced the steak that was supposed to be there. I brought back the one that was still wrong and told her specifically what it needed. A different girl named Crystal got upset waved her tongs at me and said “I need you to communicate what do you need” and for the 3rd time I repeated the order. She told me that wasn’t what we ordered and I said I apologize for any miscommunication but that is what we intended to order. She rudely took the food back and threw the “fixed” plate together. I asked her why she was so bothered and she said she needs me to communicate better. I asked if she had someone I could speak to, that at this point I want some of my money back. She said the manager was unavailable but if I left my number he would call me. He never did. It’s not even about the money it’s about the way me and my family were treated for a mistake that wasn’t our fault and could have easily been fixed. Crystal is unprofessional and super rude. Again I’m not even mad the orders were wrong, it happens, but don’t treat us like we’re the ones at fault when we’re...
