Delaware.... this is the best you've got!? I'm going to be brief as possible since I know this is going to be a sore subject for the locals.
Service was average at best. They were busy but still not the most attentive. No refills on even waters ordered. Not much else to say there.
Food. Prices. None of it added up to worthwhile. I wasn't tasting the worst breakfast food ever but it is sad that this is one of the best places in the area. Even worse how much people flock to the mediocrity.
I was underwhelmed. Over 10 bucks for 2 eggs, about 3 pieces of bacon that wasn't crisped the way I asked for it, and some slices of toast. Over $10 and this was considered one of the cheaper things to order.
Worst part of everything was a two way tie. First, there were multiple flies in the dining area. Please take care of that. I won't be back here but that isn't sanitary. Speaking of sanitary, perhaps they were too busy to clean the bathroom area but that spot stank. It was bad, homies. Either my smell is off or I caught a fishy scent in the room that housed the two single occupancy bathrooms. I used the second room on the left and it looked like it wasn't clean since opening. Fix that too.
Anyway, I said this would be brief. I suppose I could have said a lot more. These are just a few handfuls of sprinkled disappointments about Honeys Farm "Fresh". Will be back to the Lewes area but not to this establishment.

I had the western omelette with cheddar cheese that came with Rye toast and grits for $17. You get one slice of toast which was delicious. So delicious that I wish they gave you 2 slices! Whipped butter and 3 kinds of jelly were on the table. The western omelette was huge. I got it with Cheddar cheese. My only complaint was that the onions and peppers were chopped big, where I prefer them being chopped smaller to make it easier to eat. The grits were delicious! Just the right texture. They offer a lot of fresh squeezed drinks but I found them to be a bit pricey so I went with just a Diet Coke ($3.50) and water.
I did feel the service could have been better. The server did one check and never offered any refills, even though I put my empty soda glass towards the edge of the table. He also tried to take my plate away before I was finished eating. Hence the one star mark down. The food was very tasty! They had a decent menu and the place was nicely decorated for that "farm fresh" feeling. The potato Latkas looked delicious! Will definitely have to try next time!
I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or brunch if you don’t mind paying dinner prices. Come early as they close at 2 and the place was definitely hopping!
My next visit will be to the one in Ocean View where you dine in...
Read moreWas there with 2 friends at lunchtime. I ordered a Crab Omelet ($16.50) and when I took a bite I thought it was a little odd tasting. I had a few more bites as we were talking and then I realized I was not enjoying it. I asked the waiter if I, in fact, got crab or was it salmon or something else. That was all I said. He took my plate back to the kitchen to find out. Then the 3 big chiefs surrounded our table and the owner (evidently) said yeah yeah it's crab. My friend said but there wasn't any crab in the omelet. He was mumbling in a foreign language and then he said "well she did a good job eating it" and they laughed. I was trying not to make a scene but they did and we were so embarrassed. My friends' sandwiches were good and prior to their reaction I was thinking I would try this place again but certainly not after their rude response. The owner was accusatory as if I was trying to get something for nothing. In America the customer used to always be right and yet I wasn't trying to be right, I thought there was a mistake. Yes, it was my mistake for taking my friends there....
