We wanted a fancy restaurant by the water to celebrate our friend on our bachelorette trip this weekend. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait, which isn’t bad for a Saturday night. Half an hour later we were notified that our table was ready and we were quickly seated. Our waitress was Abby and she did a fantastic job serving us and making sure we were comfortable our entire time there! I ordered the shrimp tacos and side of fries and both were extremely delicious! The waffles fries weren’t dry and had the perfect amount of seasoning. When Abby found out that we were on a bachelorette trip she brought out a brownie for all of us to share and said that it was on her! We were so surprised and felt so special that would do that for us! It definitely heightened our celebration! After we paid we asked Abby to take a picture of our group, and she went the extra mile and asked if we wanted to go outside to take a picture with the water. Best food! Best customer service!

We were so excited to try Wheelhouse due to raving recent reviews but we quickly found out Wheelhouse was very underwhelming. We were "greeted" By 3 girls in the front, 1 was specifically rude. Beautiful place, great vibe. Unfortunately the beauty of the location fell short other wise except the Drinks. They were the best thing they had on the menu. To start we had the Tuna Ceviche, Menu states it is fresh, that tuna was Opaque, wasn't a color that "fresh" tuna was supposed to be. Almost as if it was frozen and they were trying to get it to room temp too quickly so it started cooking. Then, finally our entrees were extremely bland. Service was difficult. There were 4 different waiters / Waitresses for a small section and they had different tables in all sections of the restaurant making it extremely difficult to gain report, attention, or any type of personable experience with our waiter. They had plenty of staff so personally I would delegate my staff differently.

Just WOW! We were going to go to the place around the corner because we read that you could have your dog on the patio, but they were closed between lunch and dinner, we arrived about 4:15. The server Alyssa was extremely pleasant, happy to give recommendations, and just made the experience for us. The food was fantastic: we had the steamed mussels in garlic butter, crab dip in cornbread bowl, fried shrimp po’ boy and the key west fish tacos. It was all extremely well executed, even something as simple as the po’ boy was nicely seasoned and had a toasted sesame bun that added a pleasing layer of flavor. Cocktails were great also. The atmosphere was stunning, we sat outside with our dog, they brought him a water bowl, and it was a wonderful evening. 100% recommend!!

Waitress was probably one of the worst ones I have ever encountered. So bad I had to ask another waitress to get us our silverware. We sit down, waitress takes our drink order, tea.... unsweetened... never got sweetener. Ordered appetizer... ordered dinner...waited 35 minutes for the food after we had already been there for 30 minutes. DON'T GET THE RICE BOWLS... JUST HORRIBLE. Beyond horrible. Then we sat there and waited another 15 minutes for our bill after she took our dishes and asked us if we needed anything else. We were there for over an hr n half. The View, how nice it was outside and the great waitress we didn't get kept this from being a 1 star!! We will try again... maybe ... but with a different waitress!!

$$. Recommend for those who like Cajun and spice (though they do have non spicy options) style bar food. Best time to go is mid afternoon. With Zoggs original Cajun flare, a bar style atmosphere and in my opinion one of best views of Lewes you won't be disappointed if you venture into this local establishment. From my previous reviews I have stated I'm a fan of the Zoggs group and the value for your buck here goes a long way. If the prices seem higher the portion size will be bigger. Service is attentive even though they get busy quickly! If you are here during Thanksgiving they do an amazing Cajun fried turkey! One recommendation I would love to see is more grilled entrees (shrimp and fish) rather than sandwiches.
