I do not recommend eating here and am beyond confused at the raving reviews. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but… nonetheless, I waited to post a not so great review in an attempt to allow the management to make it right, however, 3 weeks have passed since calling and emailing so I’m posting the actual email I sent in re: to the literally inedible food. I made a couple edits for the review here.
We threw out $60 of food. It was that bad. I knew I should’ve just got a refund when we walked in & they had not even acknowledged our order that we prepaid for online.
Hi, I am new to the area and love supporting local so we wanted to try your restaurant. It was not a great experience and I wanted to provide you some feedback.
We spent $60 for a pickup order online last night…upon arrival for pickup (a few minutes late even) I was told the order was not even started, there was some conversation about it between staff & I was then asked if I could give them 10 minutes… this is the 1st time we have tried this restaurant & not the best 1st impression considering I ordered and paid online. They said “they missed the order” which ok, if ya all had been busy, I could see that. Mistakes happen but it was dead in there. How did they miss an entire paid order coming thru? Everyone missed it? Weird.
So, I sat at the bar and waited. I was offered a water but maybe asking if I wanted a glass of complementary wine while I waited would’ve been nice considering it was a lil longer than 10 minutes. Even comping a dessert (we ordered 2) or offering a gift card to return would been a kind gesture. The hostess was very apologetic so that was nice that she seemed to somewhat care. The food was drenched in a very watery sauce with barely melted cheese on top with a ton of water in every dish we ordered except the mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were not great but we did eat them because we were starving. The kids dish was ok yet above issues and lacked any flavor. The meatballs were not fully cooked, also watery and no flavor.
Anyway, between all that and receiving this as a “lasagna”, I’m not sure we will return.
Is this truly your lasagna dish? It’s 1 layer of some meat mixture between 2 pieces of pasta drenched in...
Read moreWe're back again. This place is not doing well. God forbid you sit outside - you'll be forgotten. We walked in today, we're asked if we had reservations, and were told we could sit wherever we wanted outside. We did, and I had to go to the hostess after 15 mins of not being waited on to ask if we would be waited on. We were told we would be seen soon. Someone brought plates, silverware and menus, then nothing. After 15 more minutes of waiting, we decided to leave. This place is in a great location, the patio and play area for the kids is great, but if you aren't sitting inside, you are going to be forgotten. This place is not being run by someone with a mind for service. I won't be back.
So this is the third attempt at a restaurant in this building. I've been twice and it's not bad. First visit we had the caprese to start and I was a little disappointed - the tomatoes were less than ripe and bland AF. It was a little short on basil and balsamic reduction also. The rigatoni salciccia and chicken parm were both chefs kiss tho. Second trip we had the bruschetta - again with the tomatoes, less than ripe and bland AF. They're using "regular" tomatoes instead of Roma. We had the tartufo pizza and they brought it out without the prosciutto. When I asked if it was supposed to have prosciutto (it is), they just brought a plate of prosciutto and dropped it off. We've been during lunch and service is quick to seat, quick to order, quick to bring food. But you need to come prepared to wait when it's time to pay the bill - they ain't in no hurry to get you gone. Drinks were meh. Italian margarita; basic. (You want a real drink? Angelina's...) Oh, and the dessert menu comes with your bill. Weird. We will come back for sure. But this place sure reminds me I miss...
Read moreI absolutely hate leaving bad reviews but this was particularly frustrating. Last week we came here for the first time to grab dinner after reading the reviews (no reservations). It took about 15 minutes before being seated & we could see they were busy- no problem. We were sitting at the actual table for over 20 minutes before someone filled our water glasses and dropped off bread. Strangely enough however he wouldn’t make eye contact with us. It was actually a little weird, like he went out of his way to not acknowledge us in the event we might ask for a drink or appetizer. The table next to us was having a similar issue in receiving any attention but at least had wine 😆 We are very chill, not-dramatic individuals so we continued to wait as I know they were busy that night. We noticed tables start clearing out but still none of the wait staff would make any eye contact with us. In all fairness we aren’t the type of people that demand immediate attention by flagging someone down but ALL the staff very much saw we hadn’t been waited on or even asked if we wanted a drink. I felt grateful we at least got water. I believe we sat at our table with no acknowledgement for about 35-40 minutes. Add on the extra time we waited for the table itself and it was almost an hour. I worked all day & was exhausted so we ended up just walking out. I’m sure the food here is great and maybe this was an odd night but as someone who spent a long time in the customer service industry we were super turned off- I would have been happy with a “hey I see you haven’t been served yet, let me catch up and I’ll be with you after” or really any acknowledgment at all. I’d recommend maybe getting a reservation if this is a...
