OpenRice Asian Bistro Lewisville — Restaurant in Lewisville

I went to this place based upon these ratings, and sadly, I won't be returning again. On the first visit I purchased combination rice, and I swear this is the first time I've ever had fried rice with no vegetables. You could literally count the number of peas and carrots with the dish. I decided I would try them one more time and this time I purchase the same combination fried rice, that again had the same limited vegetables and wonton soup. The soup was so salty that I literally couldn't eat it and just threw it away. It was basically salt water with a couple of wontons in it. Definitely not appetizing... The shrimp in the combination rice tasted like they were cooked in old oil and had a really bad flavor, so I picked them out, and threw them away as well. Yeah, it was definitely not worth the money spent...

I decided to check this place out because I was near by and saw how busy it was and that is usually a good sign. I ordered online for Carryout and prices were extremely reasonable. My food was ready within the time they mentioned and food was packaged well for carry out. I got the Mongolian Beef and Mixed Veggies with beef. Both were decent. My order also came with two soups, Hot and Sour and Wonton soup. Hot and Sour is my go to for most places so I was excited to try theirs. I was disappointed with their Hot and Sour soup. I have put this restaurant on my regular rotation. They are friendly, the food is consistent and serve huge portions.

Located in a shopping center you can easily find them at the center of the main entrance. Plenty of parking, eat it inside or take it to go. This is a small local shopping center with a Target, ATT, Starbucks, and near the local neighborhood golf course.

If you are traveling and wondering, yes, it is good. If you're local- I'm surprised you haven't been here yet! The spring rolls are amazing.
