Don't waste your time, or your money here. We arrived at 8:48pm and an employee standing outside the front door smoking a cigarette walked up to our car, and proceeded to tell us that we needed to use the drive-thru because the lobby closed at 9pm (12 minutes AFTER we were already there, but okay...we were going to get our food to go anyway and were only headed inside to look over the menu [It's a combined KFC/Long John's and we weren't 100% on what their menu offerings were since they can vary]). We place our order, and are told that there's a wait for almost everything we're ordering (12 piece chicken tender for the kids, 1 chicken/1 fish/1 shrimp combo with 2 extra orders of 3 pieces of shrimp, and a 2 chicken/2 fish platter for my wife also with 2 side orders of shrimp.
They ask us to park while we wait and they'll bring our fresh food out. Fine, we're in no rush. They finally bring out several bags and we drive our 20 minutes home. I regret not looking in the bags...ALL 4 SIDE ORDERS OF SHRIMP WERE MISSING!! That's roughly $8 of food, right off the top. The chicken was dry and overcooked, thankfully not burned, on the LJS side although the kids say the KFC tenders were good. The fish was ABYSMAL. It was overcooked to the point of having a burnt oily taste across all 3 pieces (my 1, my wife's 2), and to top it all off we didn't receive the drink that came with the fish/chicken/shrimp combo. The only thing that tasted decent and not overcooked were the hush puppies, haha!
What an awful experience, from beginning to end. Most people in this area go to Captain D's for the fast-seafood, I enjoy them on occasion myself but my wife refuses to go anywhere but LJS having moved here from Kansas where they were the go to. This store should be absolutely ASHAMED with the quality of the product they're putting out. We won't be going here ever again. My wife has decided that she would rather not have any fast-seafood than eat here again, and I'm just going to go to the more reliable...

I arrived on Saturday 9/28/2024 around 5:30pm. My daughter and I walked up to the front door. It was locked but there was a couple small children inside. We walked around to the side door. I opened the door and a worker YELLED disrespectfully that the lobby is closed. The side door should of been locked if the lobby was closed. I do not appreciate being yelled at like I’m 10years old.
I ended up sitting in line at the drive for 25 minutes and arrived to order. Went to place my order then I was informed they were not serving long johns. I would like to make a few suggestions for better service
Staff needs to have a class over respectable customer service. Good Customer service keeps customers coming back like Chick-fil-A.

Read moreIt was strange. I walked into the KFC/LJS restaurant to get a fish sandwich. The menu board was 75% for KFC but there were some LJS fish meals. However there wasn't any fish sandwich. So I asked the guy if I could get a single fish sandwich and he said I could. That was it. And then I waited while many meals were prepared for drive thru. And then a mobile order patron came in and left. Finally a couple came in and ordered some chicken meals and received it before me. Then I was brought my simple fish sandwich. In my car I opened it and it was literally a dry bun and a piece of fish. No lettuce, no cheese, no nothing. Thank goodness I opted for 2 packets of tartar sauce. As plain as it was it was edible. But I've never had a fish sandwich anywhere before with literally nothing on it. And why it took so long made no sense either. Oh well the KFC chicken the couple got looked...
