Miyabi Jr. gives a strong 3 start experience. The food is usually pretty good, but if you don't go during peak hours, the meats have obviously been cooked well before your order is prepared and the veggies will be soggy. Rice is hit or miss no matter what time you go. The quality has gone a little bit down hill over the last few years but the prices have REALLY gone up. I can't quite justify the cost of Miyabi Jr. anymore when there are other options within reasonable distance that have similar offerings for a better price point. The service is fine, but you definitely feel rushed when placing your order and paying. You (and your party) better know exactly what you're ordering before you get to the register and you better have your card or cash out ready to pay as soon as they flip the screen around. If you're dining in, be very careful about leaving your food on the table if you need to get up and walk away for any reason. The table bussers are real quick and they will throw your food away, even if you leave personal items at the table to indicate you haven't left the establishment.
Miyabi Jr. is a solidly mediocore choice of dining in Lexington. There's no frills and no real fuss, but food quality is inconsistent and too pricey to take the gamble on a regular basis. I'll still patronize Miyabi Jr., it just won't be...

Reply to response: I did not yell at you. You said you cannot understand with the masks so I spoke up. It is not yelling. And yes when it is not my mistake, but yours, its just good customer service to correct your mistake and not make the customer pay again. I work in customer service daily and never would I tell someone that they will be charged more for my mistake! But again.... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The manager alone will drive away customers.
If I could give this place a zero I would. I go to eat there for my neices birthday and ordered steak bowls. When they called our order, they give me shrimp bowls. My husband is highly allergic to shrimp. So instead of saying ok let me fix that for you, they tell me they have to charge me again! They said it isnt their fault that masks are required and they can't hear the order. So I pull my mask down and said more clearly, can you hear me now? I said I didn't feel like I should be responsible for running my card again for their mistake. And the manager said they would not give us the food then. So he refunded my card and told me to leave. Used to be one of favorite places, but not anymore! I came in today and ordered shrimp and broccoli. Once the chef finished cooking my food, he plated it and passed it to the guy beside him which turned out to be the manager on duty. Well the manager then dug his ungloved fingers into my food and tasted it! Then he put it on a tray and then tried to serve it to me! I told him immediately I saw what he did. He then said he could remake it or give me my money back. I said i would just take my money back! I will never eat here again. Watch your food! The manager may do the same to your plate! Disgusting!
