I have been trying to get around this review for a while but kept forgetting. I am not trying be negative and bash this place but this is my experience and opinion. I hope the owners sees this and realize how much attention and work they need to put in to improve. I had the worst experience ever, I have had other but this one took 1st place. I put in order at 11 am on SUPERBOWL day for 5 o’clock delivery. I ordered pizza and wings, spend about $100+ worth of food. Thinking it would be busy day I thought I should order early to avoid any delays and give this place a head start. Little did I know this place was going to ruin our Super Bowl afternoon. This business knows how busy it gets on this day, it’s not their first rodeo. Thinking like an owner, get extra help for this important day. Well comes the time to get my food, it’s 5:00 and no food. I called and they said they had delays and that my food would be there in about 10-15 mins. No problem. It’s 5:30 and no food. I call again and they said it should have been here. At this point I am upset and wondering what happened that my food is this late. I get no call to from this place to update me and let me know. No calls. 6:15 they finally get here and see this foreign guy delivering my food sweating and in frustration. I did not say anything to the guys and gave him a $20 cause I felt this was not his fault but the people running this place. You could the delivery guys was over worked and pushed to the limit. I said to my self, food is here lets eat. Well we start to eat and my kids start to make a face and say the pizza tastes funny. My kids love pizza and that’s what they would all say if they could. I taste the food and yes the pizza tastes weird. A regular pepperoni pizza should taste just like any other pizza right? Wrong the pizza tasted like of the cheese was spoiled. We decided to not take a chance and not eat the pizza. We had ordered wings too and those weren’t as good as we thought. Dry and hard crusted. Bad bad food. At this point I wanted to call back and complained but my gut told me these people are incompetent and I am going to be more upset than I am already are with their response. I felt like I was not going to get what I wanted or get it that same same day if I get another pizzeria. I decided to not ever order from this place again and ended up getting food from McDonald’s. What a shame that this happened but hope that this does not happen to someone else really. Read moreNick and Bruno is the equivalent of Spirit Airlines in the Restaurant industry. They nickel and dime everything. Today I go into the restaurant to get the Italian beef special As soon as I order it the girl hits me with a 50 cent Credit card use charge. I felt like I was at the DMV for a minute. Next they Make me a good sandwich but as soon as I ask for sauce they charge me $1.50 for that I really don’t mind since the prices are cheap , they have a special for three dollars you get a slice of pizza and a soda and a bag of chips and when I asked for that they give me the ridiculous excuse of “that price is only when we dont have to make them fresh “ are you serious so you’re advertising something out to the public that isn’t fresh that just makes me feel like you’re trying to sell me yesterday’s pizza which I find ridiculous but what I don’t like is the fact that they put it out there like it’s something normal. Cold Pizza and credit card charges are not normal and I feel like this business is trying to keep it old school which is nice but let’s be real. As a consumer I would rather pay $6.50 and that being a normal every day price than the price being six dollars or $6.50 depending on what kind of payment i use. Unfortunately this restaurant thinks that that’s normal. I just find that to be a quick way to Make somebody think you are a nickel and dime kind of restaurant what’s next you want to charge me for leaving a tip too. Read moreSadly I won't be going here anymore. This was my pizza spot since a I was a kid. But now the new owners have completely ruined it. Their delivery time has easily doubled, one time took the an hour and a half to deliver a thin crust. I had to call and then wait for a call back from the manager. Extremely bad look especially when dealing with a customer who knows how they use to operate. Their receptionist do not understand simple pizza geometry at all and they have gotten really greedy. The last straw for me was when I realized they were charging full ingredient price when you would get half ingredient. Last I checked at traditional Chicago land pizza joints (like how nick and brunos use to be or how Mugs or Gianni's is down the street) if you got an ingredient on half the pizza you were charged half the ingredient price. Not here though they think they are Lou Malnati's!! They will put your ingredient on half the pizza and take the same amount of your money as if they had to use more ingredients aka cover the whole pizza. Worst part is, the receptionist couldn't tell me their pricing all she said was "I don't know, I just punch it into the computer". Hopefully the manager can let go of their greed and carry out the well established name & business they took after instead of lossing 20 year plus customers. Man I miss the old nick and brunos!!
