In the midst of strife presented by modern society, Graeterās acts as a poignant thoroughfare connecting idealistic thoughts of the actual satisfaction.
Graeterās, with its long-standing and undoubtedly upheld reputation for impeccability in service and flavor, contextualizes a modern utopia void of the perils of conformity. Home. The beautiful flower shop with its scents and petals attracts two senses, but Graeterās surpasses this precedent of perfection by appealing to all five.
Yes, the ice cream appeals to taste as it slowly embraces me, melting softly on my moist tongue. A cool, reassuring fragrance drifts into my nose: an aroma reminiscent of home. The physical feeling of the ice cream matches the feeling of my heart. Safe, calm, and accepted. Supplementing this feeling is my sense of vision, evoked when kind servers such as Shasha, Emily, Lucas, and Hannah give me a warm nod and a knowing smile. Finally, better than the delicacies and their low prices themselves is my sense of hearing as I am gifted a kind greeting from these four exemplary workers, among others.
Shasha, with her unique intelligence, is prone to a customerās every desire, even ones that the customer wasnāt aware of. Her keen insight ensures the best possible experience.
Emily, with her quick wit and calming sense of humor, puts anyone at ease. When Emily serves you, you forget about the perils of industrial life and simply exist in a state of bliss. She is kind, clever, and infinitely talented at her work.
Similarly, Hannah presents a contemporary twist on the American food system by revitalizing how servers behave. She is friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like one of the cool kids.
Lucas, with his wisdom and pleasant countenance, places any customer at the top of a metaphorical peak. He is reassuring and provides customers with a steady foothold in the jagged upward climb that has a life.
Dear reader, thank you for indulging my panegyric of this wonderful establishment. Iām afraid that to truly enrapture the Graeterās experience, you must try it yourself, hopefully with one of the servers I mentioned present. Even the entity of developed language cannot capture the exemplary nature of the restaurant, but other things can: the taste of the ice cream, the warm smiles, the melodic greetings, and the welcoming atmosphere created by staff like Emily, Lucas,...

Pros: SCOTT the manager is awesome! I can tell that he loves his job and genuinely engages with customers out of a love for what he does. Scott also has plentiful knowledge on the Graeterās origin stories, information about specific flavors, and is one of the kindest humans Iāve met while reviewing at HOHR. The store is also clean and well organized, with displays kept nice and the floors and tables looking top notch. Scott handles busy rushes on weekends with grace and I know especially headed into this holiday season he will continue to be a valued member of Graeterās at liberty center.
Cons: Unfortunately some of the teenage staff are not as well-trained or personable as Scott. I feel that when we come in and Scott isnāt there, we are often not greeted and ignored or given unhappy looks by some of the employees⦠I do understand part of the growing process of having a part time job as a teenager is uncomfortable (hey I was there once too) but I know this staff can do better. I also really wish the staff wore masks even if they are vaccinated, but I understand that they may not be mandated to at this timeā¦
Notes: Wide selection of flavors, both in scoop form and in pints Public restroom is clean and open Great location relative to the square, other stores and liberty...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Graterās. I go ALL the time. However this last time⦠oof. I donāt think Iāll be going back to this location. Disgusting ice cream sharing practices. We all were handed our ice creams and I was about to treat my parents to the ice cream. Then my dad asked for a kids cup order for taking with him (for his dog). At the same time the women behind my dad ordered the same flavor as my dad. At which point the employees had done everything right .. however the manager misunderstood and took my dadās ice cream out of my dadās hand to give to the other lady. Then asked if she was okay with that or if she would want a new one.. when the first employee had already started scooping her the one she had originally asked for. Instead of asking my dad which ice cream he had ordered and making sure it was correct with my dad.. the manager just jumped to a conclusion that my dad was in the wrong and took the ice cream out of his hand!?! Just freaking ridiculous customer service. The manager did eventually hand the ice cream back to my dad but only after making my dad feel like he was the problem & never resolved the kidās cup for his dog. The manager could have at least pretended to take some responsibility for the commotion created or maybe apologize to my dad for taking the ice cream out...
