I have to say, as my first dining experience with Lin’s Wok, I was left very disappointed. I read several reviews prior to selecting Lin’s, (and thinking of some of those now, it is as if they were describing an entirely different restaurant) I thought I’d give it a go. Just carry out.
I was told over the phone the wait time was 45 minutes, and although I didn’t want to necessarily wait that long, I was willing to try it! I arrived at the restaurant just a few minutes early, approached the counter, and paid for the meal. I was told it would be out in a few more minutes.
So I waited.. and waited.... 25 minutes later, without any word, or update during that time, my order was ready. Mind you there was not a soul in the dining room at the time, and one other gentleman who was waiting for an order before me. He waited a solid 10 minutes in the dining room with me before receiving his order and leaving, so not sure how long in total he had to wait.
Once I was handed my order, I at least expected an, “I apologize for the delay, or so sorry for your wait... anything really to acknowledge how long I had been waiting OVER the already estimated 45 minute wait. Nothing. I said casually, “ took a little longer than expected, huh?” To which the lady replied “ Yeah, for me too. I think he ran out of broth or something. Thanks!”
I left feeling very frustrated, but at that point hungry and just wanted to get home.
As far as the food, it was mediocre at best. The fried rice was sticky and mushy, as though it was over cooked. The chicken with garlic sauce was not at all spicy, and hardly had sauce at all. Wonton soup: wontons also tasted over cooked as they were mushy.
Spring rolls were hardly crispy. and they honestly tasted as though the fryer oil was in need of changing.
All in all, I can definitely say I will not be returning to Lin’s. Save yourself your time, to be sure. And honestly, you can get much better quality...
Read morePlease ignore the other reviews that are saying this is the best- they are not true. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Ordered general tsos chicken, chicken fried rice and something similar to happy family. Was not impressed.. honestly don’t want to eat in fear of getting sick. The chicken was soggy and lacked flavor. The vegetables had a smell and an after taste and even the rice was mushy. I think the worst thing of all is that I called the lady to report my concerns and she said that this is the way they have always made it and if I don’t like it then go somewhere else. This is the rudest customer service experience I have ever had.worst...
Read moreMy 19 yr old son was wanting some Chinese food and our local Hong Kong restaurant was closed. I mentioned this place so he went in and ordered. Ordered fried rice for his younger brother. Well what he got was white rice with nasty frozen peas and carrots and eggs. Also the same “fried” rice with his meal. When I called to inquire about this the lady said are you complaining and I said yes because what he got was not fried rice. She said well don’t. What??? She said that is why ours is different because there is no soy sauce. Food is not...
