Liberty MO 5 Guys - Employees / Manager talk among themselves and ignore customers. Ordering ahead / Online is completely ineffective.
Out of the many times we've ordered ahead online here, our food never even begins to be made until several minutes after we arrive to pick it up.
Yesterday, we ordered 2 burgers and 1 fry online (ordered ahead) at around 5. Order was set for 5:45 pick up. We show up at 5:45 to pick up the food. After being allowed to watch the employees (and manager as well) chat among themselves for a few minutes on topics unrelated to the job, we were finally acknowledged and told that our food would be right up.
We then got the luxury of watching a soccer team (not making that up) order and receive their food, while still waiting on ours. All while being reminded by one employee that our food was being made, which it was not even began to be made until well after he was assuring us of such. After a while, we were presented with our long awaited meals... Which were made completely wrong and half of the order was missing... Once more, we got to go through the routine of the employee saying food was on its way... no apology, no recognition of any wrong doings by employees or manager.
After receiving our corrected order and getting an apology, which I had to request from them. I sincerely doubt we will ever be back to this establishment.
My suggestion would be to start putting attention to customers as your priority. Rather than employee crosstalk unrelated to the job at hand. Managers engaging in the same activities are simply providing a very poor example of work ethic. Also, it may be wise not to tell people their food is currently being made if it is not, when the same people can see what food...
Read moreFirst, when we entered we asked for a nutrition menu, to which we were told “uh, we don’t have that” Confused, I walked away to log on to their WIFI to pull up their allergen menu as my little girl has allergies. I couldn’t get their website to pull up and in the waiting time my spouse noticed that the sign said “Additional Nutritional Information Available Upon Request” so we asked what they meant by that to which they responded “I’m not sure”. I am confused now whether this person was trained to even work there especially since he was also unapologetic and made it clear by his body language that he did not want to be there. Thankfully another employee walked over and asked what we needed and another followed and the 2 of them found what we needed. So, we ordered. No one was in front of us, or behind us, as in we were the only order that was taken and we waited 20 minutes to get our food. There were PLENTY of workers there, I counted 6 that I could see. When we did get our food, the fries we got were old, they had sat out for approximately 10 minutes and it was about half tiny over cooked fries. Our meat was over cooked on all of our burgers as well, but the worst on our kids, so we actually peeled that part of the burger off. We would have asked for a new order but, it was a later dinner than we usually eat and our kids were starving after traveling so long today AND by then additional customers had come in and had begun the long wait for their food and ended up waiting just as long if not longer for their food. The price + The experience has deterred us from returning to any Five Guys. Customer Service is the most important thing to our family and this location was...
Read moreFive Guys was a fine eating experience. When we arrived it was not very busy so we were able to study the menu and ask questions. The employees were very nice and did not get frustrated when my children and I took a long time to order (it was our first visit to the chain). We chose multiple items frome the menu: large loaded burger, small cheese burger, grilled cheese sandwich, bacon hotdogs, large & small fries as well as a soft drink and some water cups. I was a little surprised that 4 of us had a total of almost $55. 😳 We were able to choose a tall top table and the kids immediately got peanuts 🥜. I think the kids liked the salty peanuts and coloring index cards the most out of the whole experience. The food took roughly 10 minutes for our number to be called. The food was all served in a to go bag and was hot. We were able to get our own drinks at the beverage machine. As well as ketchup, napkins, salt & pepper. The burgers were a bit greasy and underwhelming on flavor but it filled me up. The fries were a hit and we enjoyed them to the bottom of the bag with none leftover. The kids said their food was ok but I don't see many ways a grilled cheese sandwich or a plain bacon hotdog with no toppings can be ruined. We were able to visit with friends without being ran out of the establishment. Even when it got a bit busy there were still about half the seats available and all patrons were respectful of the...
