If I could give zero stars for the service I would. I knew that we should have left when the hostess could not follow a simple request to her very own question, that she asked! We came in and it wasn't even that busy. (Between the Lunch and Dinner rush) She asked how many. We said two and where we wanted to be seated. And we had requested a booth because we saw many available. Like the whole place and then she said none were available at the moment.Weird...but okay and then she asked "How about a half and half table? Then we said Yes that works perfectly". She then proceeds to take us to a low four top table? Like what? But fine going to let it pass and try to enjoy it our dining experience. I did notice their were tons of employees not doing anything. Just standing around the expo window. I'm so happy you are so fully staffed up on this day but find work when it's slow to prepare for the dinner rush. Also let me teach you a huge trick the trade to get better tips... Full hands In & out. And that means everytime you as a server visits your tables in your section whether it be dropping food off and you see they are done with something you take it away or ask them if they need any refills etc... because if you don't, the guests table will fill up very quickly with unnecessary items. And become very thirsty. And it also looks like you care about them and your job. Even if you don't. And if it's slow and you don't have any tables, go find something to do or help out a fellow coworker. Roll silverware Refill/restock Wipe areas down. The list goes on. Also if you don't know the answer to something. Go ask a manager. The birthday burger is for the whole month of your bday. According to their new rules I have received in email. Before we even ordered, we let the server Nick to confirm that rule. He agreed that is true.
We ordered our burgers and then got the bill when we were done. And que sorpresa!!! The burgers were full price. So we asked Nick what was up with that. And he said we didn't have any points on our account for the bday burger. I pulled up the email I got from the Red Robin Reward on the bdays rules. And showed him what it said. He just stood there. And than began to tell us it's based on points only. I asked to speak to the manager on duty, very nicely. I actually hate confrontation so I didn't want to. But He just stood there. And pretty much forced us to pay the full amount without even checking on what the email from the rewards membership was saying. Now we could have gone anywhere to celebrate. Red Robin was a nostalgic place but I don't think I'll ever be back we just wanted a nice place to redeem a Bday coupon. Now on my way out I asked to speak to the manager to kind of clarify the bday policy and he did confirm it's what the email stated. Not based on points. If it is your Bday month, you may redeem one free burger with the purchase of another. So a BOGO. Not sure why the server did not want to go check. The manager on duty was very apologetic and refunded one of the burgers. That's all that he needed to do in the first place. But instead,...
Read moreAte at the Liberty location on my birthday with my two daughters and my mom. Food was excellent, and a lot of it, but service was terrible. We had Skylar as our waitress. Started off fine, getting drinks and fries promptly. But then she just disappeared. We put in our order and we happened to be sitting where we could see the pick up from the kitchen. A tray full of food sat there for about 20 Minutes and we kept commenting that we wondered whose food that was, as no one was picking it up. We had eaten all the unlimited fries and our glasses were empty. Finally our waitress appeared, grabbed that tray that had been sitting forever and brought it to us. The food was lukewarm by then, but we didn't dare send anything back as we figured we'd never get it back. She asked us if we needed anything else and we all said "water!" as our glasses had been empty for awhile. They also had put the wrong dressing on the salad my mom had ordered and she said she'd be "right back" with water and the correct dressing and again disappeared. We ate all of our meals, except my mom, waiting on her salad, before we saw her again. Still no water. If there had been a pitcher near by to get it myself, I would have, but there wasn't. I kept looking around and trying to make eye contact with any employee who went by, but we were ignored by all, including a man I guessed was the manager, by his business casual attire, who was running food. I don't know where he was when our food sat for 20 Minutes, but he was also not helpful. Even though I looked right at him and he saw me looking around, a sure sign in most restaurants that help is needed, he did not come over. No one did. We spent the whole meal dying for water. My daughters meal was spicy and she didn't want to continue to eat it without a glass of water. We finally saw the waitress again and she finally brought water. We also told her we had two birthdays at the table. She disappeared again for some time and when she came back, she said she could bring us our two free birthday sundaes but everyone was too busy to come sing. No big deal, as that's kind of annoying anyway, but not 5 minutes later, they all went and sang at another table. I think she just didn't feel like doing her job. She was pleasant whenever we saw her, which was not very often, but probably the worst service I've gotten at a restaurant in a long time. The food was good, but not that good to risk apathetic service. Probably won't be returning for awhile, if ever. I give it 2 stars just because the food was good. Otherwise I'd...
Read moreAsk for Alyssa at this location for your server if you want the best service at any Red Robin location from here to up and down the east coast. We wanted for nothing. Before we had to ask for anything, she was already bringing it to our table. We never once had to look for her for service. Instead, she was always checking to see if we needed anything. She is a very hard worker, looking to make absolutely sure you have a wonderful meal here. At the end of our meal, she brought us our check. This was our first time at this location. We have joined the Red Robin club at another location back home, and we never get anything CLOSE to the service we got here from Alyssa. The manager at our home Red Robin, comes around every time we visit, asking if everything is OK. I have spoken to him about the service there, but it never gets better. The food and atmosphere are always top-notch but not the service. You're lucky if they come to check on you 3 or 4 times, and we always have to hunt down the waitress to get our bill. I think at that location they expect you to use that electronic box they sit at each table, but not so at this location, they wish to give personal outstanding service. The manager of this location needs to use Alyssa as a teacher in how to wait on customers, as if they all do their job like Alyssa, the line to get in this location will be down the street. She provides service like you get at a 5 star restaurant, and yes, we have been to them. We are not friends with, nor have we ever before, met Alyssa, but man, are we glad we were given her as our server. Thank you, Alyssa, for above and beyond excellent service that could not have...
