Has a reservation for 6. The wait staff was excellent, including the bartender. Everyone has water right after we were seated, we had all got cocktails at the bar while we were waiting, that were delightfully transfered to our table after we were seated.
I've been here twice. The wine selection is decent. Their selection of bourbons are limited. I'm a Jack Daniels drinker, I had to forgo my drink for a Makers Mark.
But the Lasagna is truly unique in the fact that normal lasagna is built horizontally, with one noodle stacked on top of cheese, then another noodle. Their lasagna is starting vertically. They have layers of noodle that stand up on their side, cheese and meat are then stuffed in between in and the next noodle, then the next, and so on...kinda like a blades in a vent. They, then, wrap a noodle all the way around the outside to hold it together. You get sauce, meat, cheese and noodles in ever bite. Very delicious.
I've also had the fettuccine chicken Alfredo... I asked for extra Garlic and was pleasantly surprised to receive it, while another person in my party had the same dish, minus the extra Garlic.
The bread dipping sauce is the bomb. Cannot get enough of it.
The calamari and ravioli apps were excellent. The calamari was almost perfectly cooked, I think I had one, maybe two that were a little rubbery, but the rest were perfect. The raviolis were perfectly toasted on the outside and hot on the inside.
The lemon cake and tiramisu are amazing.
Pro tip: I've been there twice, the first time, my wife and cousin got a piece of lemon cake, but they ran out. The second time we were there, we decided to ask about the lemon cake while we were ordering... They had 4 pieces of lemon cake left, and they were entirely out of the tiramisu... Make sure to order your deserts WHILE you order your dinner as they might not be available by the time you finish!!
They also have great cappuccino and espresso.
Love the casual, yet upscale atmosphere....I hope this never changes. The entire establishment is very clean and well maintained, unlike some of the other restaurants in town that only focus on their food. I'm always happy to visit this establishment... Apps, dinner, cocktails and desert will run you about $70-80/pp including your tip.
It's always a great time and you'll feel just like familia...
Read moreI would give it a O star if that was an option. We decided to go for their "grand reopening." HUGE MISTAKE. Shortly after we were seated, the HOSTESS was carrying a huge stack of dirty dishes. She dropped several bowls and plates down my back. Not only did that HURT, but I was covered in marinara sauce, down my back, in my hair, on my pants, all over the floor. I didn't make a seen as it was already embarrassing enough. We decided since we had hungry kids to go ahead and stay. The mess was not cleaned up by staff. We sat the entire meal with sauce and broken dishes at our feet. The hostess did apologize and walked off. Our server came to take our order and boy was that an experience in itself. She was so RUDE and HATEFUL. After she took our order, we didn't see her again while we were eating. Another server brought our food and had to get us drink refills AFTER we asked. Our server finally came and blessed us with her personality again and asked if we wanted dessert. We said no and she brought us the check. I asked if I was going to be compensated for what had happened. She snapped, we don't do that it was an accident. I politely asked her if she'd speak with her manager. She rolled hers eyes and scoffed I guess so, but I doubt he will do anything. She came back and said he took a meal off. It wasn't my meal, it was the cheapest one. We went ahead and paid and left. We will NEVER go back again. I'd also like to make mention that the Manager never checked on us after the accident happened. We just got hateful glares from the wait staff. Also, we had 6 people at the table and they brought 5 cold rolls with some vomit looking oil. We had to ask the hostess for more bread, because we couldn't find our server. Which was strange because the place wasn't busy. Even for it being 6pm. The portions were small for the price and honesty not that great. The pizza was sour and bitter. A frozen Totino's pizza would have been better. It was the most unwelcoming environment ever. I would feel more comfortable having dirt on the Clinton's. I do not recommend this place. Spend your...
Read moreAs far as the food goes, I would say that from what I saw that the portions were generally small. I would not recommend the chicken alfredo as this was what I got and it seemed to be subpar at best. But the main reason I was so dissatisfied with my experience at Luigi's is because of the owner's incompetency. My server informed me when we first arrived that the cook was the owner, so not only is he to blame for the bland and flavorless chicken alfredo but also for the other problems I had with my salad. I wanted anchovies with my salad and ordered some on the side when I got my salad. I figured I would have to wait for a little bit to receive them since I had ordered it as soon as I got my salad, but I ended up never receiving my anchovies at all. Upon finishing my salad and receiving my meal, I told my server that I did not want the anchovies anymore and wanted them off of my tab. Upon receiving the tab, my server explained that the owner refused to take the anchovies off of the ticket (even though I had yet to receive them when I as about to pay for the bill) with the owner telling him that I would be given them to go. Is this guy joking? I ordered anchovies to go with my Caesar salad, not to reheat to eat by themselves when I'm at home. I think my server understood the ridiculousness of the situation, as he paid for the anchovies on my tab with cash out of his pocket. To be that cheap that you have your own employees pay for your inability to prepare anchovies within a reasonable amount of time as the owner of the restaurant is downright pathetic. I will never come back to Luigi's, and I'd recommend anyone reading this to never go...
