Harassed several times !! Worst experience ever ! I am so sad to have to write this review because I used to love this place but I will never return to this racist establishment. The server barely spoke English , multiple servers had to speak for her . I mistakenly ordered the wrong appetizer and was forced to pay for it! we purposely didn’t touch the dish to make sure they understood that we did not want it. Beware they will force you pay for items even if you change your mind !! They began with telling us the wait would be at least 30 mins , which raised questions because both the appetizers and courses came out in less than 20 . The food was average. We are two mom trying to have lunch and reconnect for a moment. We were nothing but polite. After completing our meal we proceeded to pay . The same “wanna be manager” came to harass us for the tip amount , how dare you tell us how much to pay for our tip . Many restaurants know personally I always pay for good service, but when it is earned. 1) Service was not up to par, had to ask for silverware after our appetizers and after receiving our meals and still had to wait about 10 minutes 2) plates were left all over the table until they were trying to kick us out . Plates should be cleared prior to the main course not when you want to intimidate your PAYING customers . As much as they wanted us to act like “Typical Black Women,” my friend and I refused to let give them a reason to call the police on us. They had their “rent-a-cop” hovering over us for 10 mins at time . When it wasn’t him, it was different staff members aggressively clearing our table. Reaching over drinks to “collect napkins.” Three different staff members tried to get us to leave, and as we explained to them, we are waiting for our drinks to properly digest before getting behind the wheel , but still they had no regard. During the third time of being approached & asked to leave the table, (even though there were tables that were there before us) we called them out for harassing us and trying to get us to leave. There were five empty tables available for the “ waiting guest .” The staff member stuttered over his words and just said never mind and walked away. Staff members should take an etiquette training course. I am truly disappointed as I was so excited to bring my friend here as stated before I’ve been coming here for years, but I was truly disappointed after today’s events and I pray no one goes to what we...
Read moreI had been wanting to try this place for a long time but I live a ways away. We were in the area running an errand so we stopped by. It was our first restaurant outing since COVID started so when we saw they offered outdoor seating we decided to stay. I was impressed that they didn’t start us off with the regular chips & salsa, instead they gave us a ceviche type appetizer with a very spicy but good habanero sauce. We then ordered drinks, I was exited when I saw they had cantaritos so I went with that and I wasn’t disappointed... delicious! When it came time to order our food I went with the shrimp ceviche since that has been what I had been wanting to try from this place for a long time. It didn’t disappoint... exactly what I imagined it would taste like and the portions are huge so I’m glad I went with a small. Here’s where it went downhill... When I ordered my daughter’ meal I asked the server what the “Langosta al gusto” came with since my daughter loves lobster but hates every other seafood. The server said it was just the lobster by itself. The only thing she warned me about was that it was “very spicy”. My daughter agreed to get it since she loves the spicy lobster from Juicy Crab she figured it wouldn’t be spicier than that.... When her plate finally arrived it was not at all what any of us imagined. It was huge (which I’m not mad at) but it was a mess! You couldn’t even see the lobster from all the low quality seafood medley that was thrown on top. I had to dig through it all to find her the lobster pieces for her to eat. I feel like the server did an awful job describing this plate. It wasn’t spicy at all either, it lacked flavor. For the price I had to pay ($58) I feel like there should be a picture or a detailed description on the menu if the servers are not knowledgeable of the menu items. I didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to wait any longer so we just took the loss. The red snapper my husband ordered was on the bland side too, he was looking forward to it since he’s a red snapper lover and anytime it’s on a menu that’s what he orders. Another negative thing I noticed was that when I walked into the facility to use the restroom before we left I couldn’t believe how packed it had gotten in there since we first arrived. They are running the restaurant like we are not in the middle of a pandemic! Just to think that our food passed through all those people before it got to us made me...
Read moreMother’s Day dinner and we got seated at 7pm, food was average, the server was friendly but the manager, idk his name but he is a slim about 6 foot in his late 50s and look white but is Hispanic and was wearing a red shirt is rude. We mentioned to the server that one of our plates wasn’t good and told us they cannot do anything about it. Then the manager comes by towards us leaving and asks how everything was and he mentioned to him everything was good except one plate came out an hour and 15 mins late and my sisters food was overly fried to the point that the shrimp were rubbery. He then responded with “but your food came out right”, well obviously we got it if he saw it. I’m not sure if he was drinking to respond so negatively, if he was ignorant to the fact he’s in the service industry to serve people or he just unhappy. I understand that it was Mother’s Day and it was a stressful day for everyone, I’ve been a server before during these times and understand the feeling. But what gets me is He walks around with this dumb look of being angry and doesn’t even smile , you’re a manager, one of your job duties is to make sure the customer is satisfied and you’re welcoming as you should hold yourself to a higher standard being in your positions. Why would a manager ask if everything is ok and offer no solutions? I do have some advice for you, smile and be courteous and act like you want to be there. I’ve tried calling after I left many many times to get his name but no answer. I don’t expect a refund and don’t care for one. We paid our bill without an issue. But either quit your job and go be miserable somewhere else or the owners of this establishment need to review his work performance and his approach to customers. His attitude and whole demeanor needs to be adjusted. I didn’t catch well his stupid response to me since he spoke to me in Spanish and my Spanish is limited but once my family translated what he said to me I became angry. I wanted to drive back and talk to his more personally but live to far and it was Mother’s Day. The experience was negative because of him and will go elsewhere. It was out go to place for 8 years and have recommended it to many, not anymore. It’s sad that as Hispanics that this is the way to treat one another. If the owners are honest and care for the customer experience, they will comment on this for me to speak to someone about my experience. I will wait for...
