Laughing Crab - Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in Lincoln

Food was good. Drinks were disappointing for the price. No beer on tap. Boils could use more or bigger potatoes.

Biggest issue was with service. Seemed understaffed and wait staff could use some training. Seemed there was no manager on site. Guessing the bar keep was pulling double duty which is just a bad way to run things. Sat with empty drink for quite a while before flagging server down, was never checked on, felt rushed out the door at the end. Want to emphasize that the wait staff was not lazy or stupid, In fact they seemed very busy, and like they were doing the best they knew how to, but need some training and dedicated management.

I'll likely be back as I do love seafood boils, and I'll hopefully update this review to reflect improvements...

Greatly enjoyed the food while we were here! It was a very fun experience. Reason for low service rating is that the only times we saw our server was when the order was placed and delivered. We didn’t see them again, and it wasn’t even the person that brought the check. It made us feel as though they left or went on break and nothing was passed on to anyone else. 4 stars for atmosphere only because at times it felt like we were in a fish tank with how often people stopped to gawk at everyone eating. Incredible food. Just wow. Got the level three heat and old bay seasoning. Cannot recommend it enough. And I’ll admit, I was skeptical of this place: in the mall, packed with people (and small space anyway), loud environment, and sports I hadn’t even heard of on the TV. But that all changed almost as soon as we ordered. The service was very attentive but not overbearing, the food was—as I said—delicious, and the prices and portions are more than reasonable.
