Stella’s Ice Cream is a gem! They offer so many fun and unique flavors, and it’s a huge bonus that they clearly list gluten-free and dairy-free options. As the mom of a daughter with a wheat allergy, I was especially impressed that they had gluten-free waffle cones. It looks like the cones are made on-site since I noticed waffle makers, which adds a nice touch of freshness. The serving sizes are huge, which is great considering the prices are on the higher side.
Customer service was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I also loved that their strawberry ice cream didn’t have any food dye, which is such a rare find. I didn’t check the other flavors for dyes, but I’m hoping this is true for more of them and plan to check next time. I will say that I was a little disappointed by the shortage of cookie dough in the cookie dough ice cream. That said, the flavor of the ice cream itself was still so far superior to the ordinary vanilla found in most cookie dough ice creams that it still felt special.
Now, let’s talk about the most important part—the flavor! Most ice creams these days have a slight chemical aftertaste or a texture that’s not quite creamy enough, but not at Stella’s. Their ice cream is rich, creamy, and absolutely delectable. The flavors are far superior to anything else I’ve had in the area. Honestly, it reminded me of ice cream from a cow farm in the ’90s—the kind of pure, homemade goodness that’s so hard to find now. I haven’t had ice cream this good since my days in New Hampshire in the ’90s!
If I have one other disappointment, it’s that their website doesn’t list ingredients, which would be helpful for people with allergies or specific dietary preferences. But beyond those small critiques, Stella’s delivers on every front. Their ice cream is truly exceptional, and I’m afraid for both my waistline and my wallet because I can already feel the cravings kicking in! Stella’s Ice Cream is a standout for taste, texture, and quality. I can’t...
Read moreWent in tonight to try the ice cream after going to the lake. I went to the store specifically instead of the food truck they had at the lake to see all the options. The place was busy and I waited my turn until I was the last person standing at the counter. There were three workers there tonight. I made eye contact and stood directly in front of two workers at the ice cream case but none would acknowledged my presence. The two scoopers decided to change out the chocolate together instead of greeting me when two other patrons entered the store. Those patrons were immediately greeted and were asked what they wanted by one of the two I was standing right in front of. I waited probably one more full minute for someone to acknowledge that I was still there. When nobody did I just left. Felt like I was on an episode of punk’d. Your ice cream may be good, but I’ll never know. There are a lot of ice cream places in this town and I promise you nobody ever treated me like that at Dumont Creamery...
Read moreI totally enjoyed my experience at Stella's. This location is perfectly situated close to The Lawn at The Lakefront in Little Elm. I am delighted they opened up in that area! When I first walked in I was warmly greeted by the staff. Ordering was easy due to the clear, easy to read menus. I liked how easy it was to tell which flavors were gluten free and which ones were nondairy.
The young lady who was working behind the counter was very helpful. I was able to sample various flavors and decided to try the cake batter and my husband decided to get the chocolate chip mint. Both flavors were creamy and delicious! The price per scoop is pretty good for the huge scoop of ice cream compared to other places in the area. I will definitely go back and try out some of their other flavors and...
