Maggie's Town Tavern — Restaurant in Little Falls

We honestly tried with this place. We tried to make it our go to place. But the owner has such an attitude. Last night we stood waiting, yet again for a table for two, watching others who just walked in who were friends with the owners get sat before us. We saw an open table among the many open tables, and asked if we could sit there. We were told one couple was ahead of us. So I stood against the wall trying to get out of the way of the crowd and staff who kept bumping into me. Then Maggie, instead of seating us at an open table we pointed out, ties to sit us in the 'crappy" table. I said no I am sorry but that table is horrible. Her retort was "Oh it's not horrible, it's just that you don't like it. I replied excuse me, but your arms get bumped by passer-byes and you are practically on top of another table which is a 6 top. She just made a face at us and started to make a nasty comment but stopped herself. When we finally sat down (at the table I originally pointed out that was free), the owner started talking about us to some patrons she knew. They kept turning around and looking at us. Finally after taking this for a bit, I said, is there a problem? The guy, who was 4'9" & drunk stumbled over and slurred that I bumped into him two times. I was standing in the corner stationary, and I did not bump him. Everyone was bumping me. It was apparent that Maggie had egged him on. I finally said you need to get out of my face, and I stood up. (Towered over him too) Then my 6'4" husband stood up and asked nicely for the guy to stand down. When this drunk little shrimp saw my husband's size he backed off. I told my husband if this is the clientele Maggie coddles and caters to, then this low life place is not for us. We walked out. Food is mediocre and service sucks. Hostesses and owner suck more. One hostess is a huge snot and Maggie is just like her. I worked in Diners to 5 star restaurants, and NEVER saw anyone treated like these small town low lives treat people. Try the Diner on hwy 46, you will definitely get better food! I will never step foot in this HORRIBLE...

Very disappointed for the second time. I use to love this place but lately it is starting to go downhill. Last time I went I went for the Ribs because I had had them before and enjoyed them but the last two times they were very fatty and dry. This weekend I went for the Prime Rib and I was extremely disappointed. First, I ordered the French onion soup and asked for bread and butter, the server never brought the B&B, and second, I ordered the Prime Rib medium and it came out rare, very rare, so I kindly asked them to cook it some more and the hostess, rudely stuck a fork in my prime rib, took it off my plate and told me to work on the other stuff. It took forever to come back and by time it did I had finished my potato and vegetable long before, so now instead of enjoying a nice plate where I can mix the tastes of my food, I had a plate of veggies and potato and twenty minutes later a steak. I understand sometimes stuff like this happens but this is the first time I ever had them take just the meat away, usually they take your entire plate so you can still enjoy a nice plate at once, not to mention by time I got my steak back everyone else at the table was done eating and ready to leave. Also, on top of all that waiting, the prime rib was very fatty and not tasty at all. My days at Maggies...

Food was OUTSTANDING !! I'm adopted & a meeting was planned with my brother with whom I located with the help of a DNA website. I've been craving a burger so thought this would be the perfect place to meet him in person for the first time, it had been years since I had been here, remembering the coziness and rustic surroundings it was exactly the setting I wanted, so I was so glad I chose Maggie's !! The staff was amazing & very accommodating. I asked for a quiet area knowing we would be having conversation getting to know each other. They seated us in a smaller area & offered that they would not seat anyone in the immediate area for as long as they could dependant on how busy they become. I was so appreciative of their understanding to my request & each one of the people I spoke with were absolutely the nicest people. They played a huge part in this pivotal moment in my life, the beginning of our brother sister relationship together 💜. I ordered the burger sliders, onion rings, & broccoli bites. As I stated earlier, AMAZING !! I will definitely be coming back & will be making sure this place is at the TOP of my list for go to places. Their longevity alone shows this place is definitely a Gem !! Don't miss out !! You’ll be glad you went !! Thank you all from the bottom...
