Had to use a boba bribe to get my kids to expose themselves to sunlight and also enter the city so this place was one we haven’t tried yet.
This is the 4th boba shop we have tried in central Arkansas and so far this one is our fave. There was one other one that was really good in LR but that one is shut down after the owner ran off with all the money and didn’t pay his employees or even tell them he was absconding but that’s another review for another day.
So this one is located in downtown like downtown downtown. Like real downtown. We live in Benton so we don’t really go to downtown LR a whole lot but we got lucky and found a parking spot on the street right in front of this shop. Usually parking for this location would be impossible to find and you would have to park blocks away if you wanted free parking or you would have to find a paid parking lot and then walk quite a ways. The gods were smiling on me yesterday.
The shop is small and kind of plain but it serves its purpose. I know that it would probably be more visually appealing especially to younger ppl if they stocked the typical adorable trinkets and bobbles that seem to be easily found in these types of shops.
My kids are 1/4 Japanese and they love all things Hello Kitty and San rio and all the cute smiling frou frou bells and whistles that Japan is known for. Actually I’m probably lucky they didn’t have stuff like that available or I probably would have spent way too much buying more stuff my kids don’t need.
I got the coffee boba and my kids got some other flavors. I don’t know. I just ask for something with caffeine as I don’t know the boba lingo or trends same as I don’t understand the Starbucks thing and just tell them give me the biggest one and I want it creamy and frothy and sweet then they rattle off a bunch of lingo that sounds like codes to the person making my coffee.
That’s how I feel with boba. I would have liked to get one of the bear bottles or jars but wasn’t sure how you got one of those as there was nothing on the menu about it. From the pics, in the store and on Google, I thought the drink automatically came in the bear bottle but I guess it’s an option you have to ask for.
Husband wasn’t a big fan of his tea but he legit doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing( I mean do men have a clue period?) and doesn’t even drink coffee….yes folks you read that right. This man is over 50( I can’t remember the exact age because once you hit 50 you just can’t keep things straight anymore and your age is one of them) and he does not even know how to make me a cup of coffee. Can you believe that??? So I’m not sure why he went to a BOBA shop and just ordered some tea but that’s on him.
Overall I really liked this boba shop and I would love to come back and try some other flavors and maybe get a bear bottle next time (I wish apple had...
Read moregenerally enjoy coming here but on this visit in particular, the staff was incredibly rude. Two people were "working" but when i walked in try to order but she was just standing there doing nothing while i was waiting. I got a strawberry coconut fruit tea and it did not taste the same at ALL. it tasted VERY much like expired milk and smelled awful. Definitely needed more flavor. Also when i went to throw it in the trash can, it tip over and everything fell out because they did not take the trash out and it was full. inside this shop was extremely hot. I asked to buy a gift card for $25 and i looked down for 2 seconds and the worker was out of the shop hopping in a car holding 2 drinks. she never got my gift card. So i asked the other worker for a $25 gift card and while she was writing it she was calling someone and seemed like she did not know how to do it and charged me around $27 plus tax. WASTE OF MONEY.This ruined my day completely. i was very disappointed.will be taking my business back to Bobalicious in North...
Read moreBefore we left Little Rock to head back home, my back seat companions requested for a quick stop to the Cha cha tea shoppe. It was our second time visiting this small specialty beverage shop. While we waited for our order, there seemed to be a steady flow of fellow boba tea fans.
The menu included a variety of milk teas, shakes, smoothies, fruit teas, yakult, and tea espresso. My companions and I opted for the milk teas and ordered the Asam, Tiramisu, and Mocha Coco. I like a lightly sweetened drink, so the Asam Milk Tea hit the spot. The other drinks were stronger in flavor and sweetness which was perfect for my companions. Our delicious beverages were quickly prepared by a friendly 2-person team.
The menu has some options for customizing your beverage, such as different flavor bobas, additional fruits, or even adjusting the sweetness levels. If you don't like the bobas, one can even choose to leave them out.
We've become huge fans of Cha cha tea shoppe and will be back next time we are in...
