Learn moreI'll try to make this quick. If I could give this location negative stars I would. TLDR at end.
I dined in at the end of December 2021. I had a $25 gift card and my debit card. Our waitress' name was Kalianna; she seemed nice enough, but I just had a weird feeling about her (more on that soon).
Our food came out and it was subpar. I love IHOP so much (I even dined at the one off University this weekend and it was delicious!). At this location though I had a bacon omelet and it had the texture of rubber. The food wasn't hot when it came out. This was okay though because food is food to me, so I ate it and was content.
My anxiety was a little high that night, so when the check came I handed Kalianna my gift card and debit card and said, "Please charge the gift card first and then my debit card," without thinking; I know that's obviously what they do, but I've been extremely tight on money lately and just wanted to make sure my entire gift card was used. The total was $30 and some change. Kalianna gave me a sort of weird look and said okay.
When I got the receipt back it looked slightly different than normal receipts (had an extra line in the tip area that was for a donation) and it showed my debit card but not the gift card. Kalianna didn't give my gift card back so I assumed she used it and used my debit card for the remaining $5.__. The next morning I woke up to the entire bill charged to my bank account.
I called this location and asked for help; the man who "helped" me was very condescending and said it was busy and he'd call back later. He never called, so I called back that night and talked to the assistant manager; they said to call at 8AM Thursday to talk to the GM because he would be in that day and only he would be able to help. I do so and the lady on the phone tells me the GM isn't I'm because it's his day off. So this location is dancing around my issue.
I wasn't getting any help from them, so I began calling headquarters; I won't go into too much detail here other than they tried contacting the franchise owner and escalating my case several times and the owners would not call me. I finally got a call a couple days ago from A DIFFERENT Little Rock IHOP location to refund my money. Not the one I dined at, but a lady from an entirely different IHOP.
I was dealing with this for an entire month until it was resolved. I will never be returning to this location and I recommend you don't dine here either; to each their own though.
And I strongly believe my waitress pocketed my gift card out of spite or just because she felt like it. I had such a bad feeling about her that I even wrote on my receipt that night (paid $25 with giftcard and $5.__ on debit card). There is absolutely no way she "forgot" to use my gift card when she had both in hand and then she purposely did not give it back.
TLDR; Take an extra 8-10 minutes to drive out to and dine in at the Univeristy location because this West Little Rock location is sneaky and has subpar food you'll probably regret...
Read moreFrom the moment we walked in, we had a terrible experience. We waited a long time to be seated (it was 11pm and the place was practically empty) and were finally seated at a small table in a corner. We asked for a booth since there were two booths open next to us and the guy told us they didn’t have a server for that section.. Whatever, we brushed it off and sat in the corner. Within 15 minutes of sitting down, they sat people in both of those booths (and not because there were no other open tables. Only four other tables were occupied in that section of the restaurant. There were tables just like ours right next to us that were open, but both of these parties were lead to booths and assigned a server). It just got worse from there. We told our server we needed a minute to look at the menu and she took 13 minutes to come back and take our order!!! THIRTEEN. We were about to get up and leave, but she finally came back. She was nice the rest of the night, but looked miserable and whenever we asked for something (which was rare), she just said “okay” and walked away. She also messed up my order and blamed it on her manager. And, when we were eating, a guy came over to clear the table in front of us, bent over, and had his A$$ hanging out right in front of us while he cleaned this table. Not a tiny bit, no. His belt line was around his thighs, with his a$$ hanging out on full display directly in front of our faces while we were eating... talk about dinner with a view.
The food was pretty good, but my “strawberry banana” pancakes had only 3 strawberries and barely any sauce. Not to mention she had messed it up and blamed it on the manager. The entire time we were there, there was a huge spill on the floor next to us. Not one person tried to clean it. Because we were in the corner (insert eye roll here) we had to step in the spill both to sit down and to get back up. The whole experience was...
Read moreFantastic! 'IHop Little Rock Arkansas' I found this place at four O'clock AM I was on the road all evening left out late from Memphis. Had a bit of an appetite. The first IHop was about to close so I visited this one on Hermatage Rd. The food was not bad, I thought a little spendy at first I mean I wasn't at a Buffet. $11.00 Four one layer of Waffles Combo, I tried all four flavors of syrup, The Traditional or Maple, Blueberry, and the Strawberry syrup was off the chain, four sunny side up eggs, two sausage links, watter and a bottomless coffee pot. That time in the morning! "Thank you God Is Good" I'm not even complaining. The staff was excellent, and trued to be helpful with hints and references about the area. My waitresses; was a beautuful ebony angel, verry, verry gentle on the eyes, delightfully pleasantly, charming as she politely checked in on me as I worked on my "Linux laptop" she stayed late after her shifft and made sure there wasn't nothing else I needed. When the morning shift arrived I was cashed out with my coffee and laptop keeping me very bussy; [The reasearch for Boss Katana-50 Amplifier's Guitar Special effects Center, Software and Drivers, The Microsoft Security Issues, Adobe Reader Updates, have compatabilites that are nessaceary for The Veterans Administrations Learning University - Talent Management System, and my Linux Mint Laptop. 18.3 is out but I preferred to go with 18.2.2 the latest of the stable releases, for The Linux Mint Machine Updates] Thank You "Tay" it was all-in-all, a great experience! ~...
