Red Snapper Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Little Rock

I had an extremely disappointing experience at your establishment that compels me to share my concerns. I placed an order and waited over 15 minutes for food that typically takes no more than 5 minutes to prepare. When I arrived to pick it up, Casey, who had taken my order, acknowledged the delay and handed me my food with an apology.

However, as I was leaving, another individual—later identified as the owner's brother—came out from the back and confrontationally asked if I noticed how many orders they were working on. I was taken aback by his aggressive tone, but calmly responded that I had been here before and had never encountered such delays. Rather than de-escalate, he continued raising his voice.

Out of concern, I checked my food before leaving and—unsurprisingly—it was cold. At that point, I requested a refund. Both Casey and the owner's brother began to process the return, but when they saw I had paid by card, the brother suddenly refused to complete it. I asked for a reason, especially since there were no signs posted indicating a “no refund” policy, nor was anything to that effect printed on my receipt.

The owner's brother then called the owner (Mohammed or Mahmud) and explained the situation. The owner, rather than showing any concern, dismissively stated, “If you can wait 15 minutes at McDonald’s, you can wait here.” That level of disrespect is unacceptable—especially considering that. I don't eat at McDonald's. Casey then informed me they also own Shark’s and that this is simply how they conduct business—no refunds, no accountability.

For the record, that kind of policy is exactly why I do not patronize Shark’s.

In the end, although the police were called (and never arrived), Casey was able to convince me to allow them to remake the food, which they did. Still, the damage was done. Between the poor service, the unprofessional confrontation, and the refusal to honor a basic refund for cold food, I will not be returning. And now that I’m aware of the questionable business practices, I will make sure others are...

I came here for the 1st time a month ago while visiting Little Rock from Houston Texas. Just happened to stumble upon this place and was like let me see what this is about while noticing cars in line assuming it must be decent. I ordered the catfish and shrimp plate and I ordered a slushy pina colada and strawberry 😋 THE CATFISH AND SHRIMP WAS SEASONED PERFECTLY I was surprised!!! I told myself this is my new spot whenever I come back. So I arrived Friday July 3rd and this was my stop for food I ordered the wings with Mac and cheese and green beans EVERYTHING WAS GOOD THE CHICKEN WAS SEASONED SO GOOD unbelievable!!! I ordered another slushy BECAUSE THEY ARE SO GOOD PINA COLADA AND PINEAPPLE delicious. I let the gentleman know that work there how good their food is and I would be back. The cashier charged us for a water we didn't want but he didn't offer to take it off for us. The special said $7.99 but the charge on the slip was $8.99. We asked for a blue slushie and got a yellow slushie. So they like poured out 1/3 of the yellow one and put blue in it, so that was wrong also. So we were over charged 3$ in total. The food: the gizzard and hot sauce were so delicious. The wings and tenders were good. The Mac and cheese seemed soupy and not salty enough. French fries are good. The fried okra and 10 piece shrimp had no salt or Seasoning so those were bland unfortunately, dipping it in ranch did not help. They don't have free water here. Seating at tables available, ours was wobbly but it didn't break. Although it sounds like a mixed review, all our complaints would be easily fixable. They also have a drive through if your feeling tired lazy or just don't want to get out of the car. Very homely, slightly older inside seating arrangements. Just for the gizzards alone we would come back and spend money here. It's a ok place, we reccomend trying it...
