Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Little Rock

Ordered 2 dinner sirloin meals with salads and loaded baked potatoes at noon October 31. Just a handful of people in restaurant. Server only brought one salad he stayed in the back so you couldn’t get his attention finally got his attention asked for the other salad which took 15 minutes for him to bring that to the table. Steaks were brought to the table one was pretty good size the other was small I know they did not compare in weight both were burned one was to be medium rare which on the inside was rare and cold again the outside of the steaks were burnt could barely cut them they were so crisp. The small steak was supposed to be medium well and it was cooked well done no flavor at all asked for steak sauce once I got attention to the server again He went and cleaned a table off before he brought us the steak sauce. Then instead of bringing the bottle of steak sauce he brought one small little container not even half full. There was another table that had three bottles of steak sauce on their table however we got a real small little butter container not even halfway full of the steak sauce. He never came to ask if everything was OK or ask if we needed more tea which are empty glasses were on the edge of the table so that if he ever walked by he could see but again he never walked by because he was always in the back area and then when he would come out I would have to raise my voice and put my hand up to get his attention. Potatoes were to be loaded baked potato which neither had cheese on them and barely any green onion or butter. I asked for a to go box he brought one walked off waited 20 minutes to get attention to another person sweeping floor to please get our server to bring the ticket. He came put on table walked again to back and we never saw him again. When I say in the back I mean in the kitchen area. He was very rude not a good server the food was not good and no flavor and I will not go back there again. Ended up giving our steaks to our dogs since we could barely cut with knife due to being burnt. Ok yall this is going to be a long one!! So...we got to the restaurant it was busy but not real bad it didn't take long before we were seated 20 minutes later the waiter showed up and asked what we wanted to drink....20 minutes later the drinks showed up then the asked if we wanted an appetizer and you know we had to ha blooming onion so we ordered it didn't take long to get it ok cool.........45 minutes later they took our order we were out of drinks the blooming onion was gone and they brought bread 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️we were about to leave but we were having fun talking amongst our selves so we ordered didn't take long we had real food ok were back on track we ate the waiter never showed up to ask if we needed anything did refills on our drinks nothing!! So...we decided we were ready to leave...I had to go find the waiter ask her for the check put my card in the pay thing .....she walks away then I had to go find her again to give it to her 15 freakin....minutes she shows back up with my card!!!🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️while I was waiting I had a nice lady come up and asked me if they still give out the pager because she had been there for 30 minutes and didn't get one when she showed up and checked in I told her they send a text now you don't get a pager she asked the woman behind the desk what she needed to do because she didn't have a phone on file with them....come to find out her table had been ready for 20 minutes but because they didn't ask for a phone number they were about to give it to someone else!!! This was once our go to place for a good meal. Not terribly pricey. And good food. The past two visits for us just may be our last meals with Outback. A couple of days ago we went, I got the Outback Bloomin Chicken. I have had it before so I thought I knew what to expect. I took most of the batter off because it was so greasy. Cut into the chicken, it had a rubbery feel. Took a bite and it just wasn’t good. Most chicken has a very distinct texture, easy to cut, this was not the normal texture. I left at least 3/4 of the entrée on my plate. My husband received his steak that was supposed to have been well done ( a good chef knows how to cook a well done steak and keep it moist and juicy), . His steak was basically burned on one side and medium on the other. He requested a new steak, not just re- cook the one that was brought out. Since 1 side was already burned. When his food finally arrived we told our server to just put it in a to go box. We had enough of their atmosphere. The visit before this. My steak was bad. It just tasted bad, as if the meat had gone bad. The sever asked if I wanted them to cook another steak, no. My husband and I enjoy occasionally getting to go eat out. So it’s really disappointing when the food turns out bad. Neither one of us asked for anything different or even a discount on the meal. But we did notify staff so that they could improve.
