I placed a large order tonight and while I did receive all the main items, the cheese dip was included without the chips. Since I live 25 minutes away from the restaurant, my family had to find our own chips to make the meal work.
I called the restaurant to resolve the issue and was placed on hold for 16 minutes before a team member disconnected the call. When I called back, they attempted to place me on hold again, but I politely declined and explained it would only take a moment. The person insisted they were very busy and needed to put me on hold again, but I still refused. It turned out the person I was speaking with was the manager. I explained that I received cheese dip but no chips with my order and asked if they would be willing to replace both items due to the inconvenience.
The manager responded, saying they would only replace the chips on another day, not the cheese dip, despite it being part of the same order. When I pointed out that no one eats just tortilla chips without dip and that the mistake was on their end, I said I’d follow up with management. He rudely replied, “Well, I’m the same manager you’ll speak to, so have a good night,” and then hung up.
To be fair, I didn’t check the order before leaving because the bags were tightly knotted and I didn’t want to rip them open. This was my first time trying this restaurant, and unfortunately, due to the lack of accountability and poor customer service, it will also be my last.
I was hoping for a better resolution and was disappointed by how the situation was handled. I’m sharing this so others are aware and so the business has an...
Read moreMargaritas were inexpensive so tasting like sour mix is to be expected. It was a heavy pour though, so that was great. Atmosphere felt a little cramped for my taste. I ordered al pastor tacos. My favorites are these ones in East Dallas inside a little gas station off Gaston ave. I've also lived in LA and had a variety of food truck tacos (not as flavorful as my spot in Dallas.) Honestly, these tacos weren't ones I wanted to finish. They were dry and lacked seasoning/ love that my friend's moms served. The guacamole also didn't look fresh. Seemed over mixed and looked like wholly guacamole (which is a sad processed substitute for real guacamole that one must use sometimes when spoons are low but is in no way an equal replacement for fresh avocados). Then the corporate video playing(reminded me of stock we'd use advertising to At&T's multicultural audience) seemed like some marketing exec really wanted to push their idea of what "authentic" Mexican food is. Does a Mexican/Latine family actually own this, or is it another corporate restaurant group trying to make us believe so? Other than that, girl at the register was super sweet and worried that we'd be worried the tacos were "too spicy." Not a concern for us, but I can understand why she might think that living in...
Read moreWe placed an order with door dash and total I believe it was almost 60 for three meals. This was without delivery fees as it’s a pickup order. We received one quesabirria meal without consommé and our nachos only came with beans and small ground meat (supposed to be carne asada) it was pretty bad and there was no cheese, queso or other toppings such as veggies or even a sauce. To spend that much and not have my child have “nachos” was disappointing. And what was there did not taste well. I would say the quesabirria here is a southern version and not authentic. The meat tasted like shredded pot roast but was mainly fat. The consommé we did get tasted like au jus. The meat was almost burnt and the tacos sat in a tablespoon of oil in the container. The rice was ok and beans not very good. Maybe this was not representative of the restaurant and it was...
