If I could give this location -5 stars I would. The security is RIDICULOUS and on a power trip. The bag policy is absurd. Said policy is not listed anywhere on the website, not on the main page, events page or the security section of the events page. If it was in the ops section, I wouldn't know because the link for that section doesn't work. My 70 y/o disabled mother and I went thru security. As I was gathering my items after going thru the metal detector (the last section of security), the bag lady placed my mother's purse on the table on a piece of paper (which it fit on) and then asked another security guard if it was too big. The other security guard replied it was and stood there telling my mother she would have to take her purse to her car. I asked the lady if she could make an exception since my mother is elderly and handicapped (her DL proves it). She said no it's policy. They wouldn't even allow us to get on the elevator to go back to the car which was on the farthest parking level away so I was forced to take the stairs to get to our parking level. The security guard who handled the situation was very rude, had an attitude, and was very much on a power trip. So I had to walk all the way back to the car which took about 10-15 min. I came back and the door guy acted like I hadn't already been through and questioning my ticket which he had already scanned. Then, they told me I had to go through security AGAIN even though I only had a phone in my hand. They told my mother (who never went thru the metal detector initially) to step to the side that she didn't have to through. While I go through security a second time, the guard on a power trip is taunting me telling me there is "no reason to be angry" and "it's policy, it's policy" on repeat and that "I don't need to act like this", even though I was not speaking to her or anyone, or even speaking at all for that matter. If this is your policy, it should be enforced on everyone. I counted 5 or 6 other women (I have pics of all these bags but can't figure out how to upload them on this review see review on Facebook for pics) who had purses larger than my mom's, one of whom was carrying a reusable grocery tote which could have fit two of my mom's bags inside (unfortunately didn't get a pic of this bag as the lady was walking very fast). Not to mention, the hundreds of others who brought in giant puffy coats they weren't even wearing that were double and triple the size of my mom's purse. The security guard on a power trip was the biggest issue, but the show itself was also incredibly overpriced. If you are going to charge 100 bucks a ticket the least you can do is start the show on time instead of 17 minutes past start time. It also took 40 minutes to even get out of the parking lot, I'm not sure why as they weren't making anyone pay to exit. I assume it was due to the parking lot ushers who would let 3-4 cars go from one lane and then only let one car go from another lane. They even had traffic blocked off outside of the parking lot to allow a smooth exit, which didn't hapoen. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. You will get better value and better customer service at the Rep theatre. We saw Chicago there a few years back and it was much better than the performance at Robinson. The Chicago show at the AR Rep theatre started on time and actually had a stage set instead of some ladders, chairs, and props. Oh, and they didn't have rude security guards on...
Read moreMy daughter’s high school had their prom on Saturday April 26th. The venue was nice, clean, and accommodated a very large crowd of kids, but the lady usher/ front door attendant was incredibly rude and short with both the kids and adults attending the prom. I asked her a simple question, very politely with a smile I might add, pertaining to the location of the other parents who were permitted to sit at the entry way due to our kids being special needs. She cut me off mid sentence and practically bit my head off because I asked where I was supposed to be. They were also holding a play at the same time as the prom was being held. I asked the lady usher where the bathroom was and she rudely replied “IT’S OVER THERE, but you need to get out of the way because a show is about to let out.” I just stared at her in disbelief that she was being so rude for no apparent reason. I have attended several plays at this location, even held season tickets for several past seasons. I have never had an usher be as rude and condescending as she was. I didn’t bother with her name but I certainly will think twice about season tickets to anything there in the future if this is the type of person they place at...
Read moreWent to go see the Nutcracker over the weekend. The show itself was fantastic, no complaints at all, but....
We bought 6 seats, and paid quite a bit. One of the seats was on the end of the row. The seat across the isle from us the light that illuminates the floor was broken and hanging below its recessed spot.
The LED lights were very very bright and shining directly in our eyes, made even worse when the lights dropped for the show.
My wife got up and attempted to shove them back up, but they wouldn't stay. When a usher walked by she asked him if he could fix the lights, as it was blinding us and the other people. He walked over for about 3 seconds, tried to shove them up once, and said can't be fixed, then just walked away?!?!?
Like seriously, nothing? Not bothering him, not his concern. At almost $100 a ticket, I expected a little more courtesy, but it is 2023..
During the intermission, and very close to just ripping the lights out, my buddy went though his wallet and found a few old business cards, we folded and stuffed them in there, effectively pinning the light into the recess. It took about 10 seconds, problem solved.
I should send yall a...
