I absolutely love Born2Bake and visit very frequently! The baristas are so friendly, helpful, and attentive to customers. Owners are lovely people! The bakery items are consistently fresh, perfect French croissants, and excellent coffee. No other cafe in Main Street compares. Patio is awesome in the summer and spring. I truly can not understand any negative reviews this location could have (and this is coming from someone with over a decade of food service/mgmt experience!).
The only recommendations I would have to the owners are to please, please fix the months-long issue with the womenâs bathroom door lock. I wanted to keep this feedback off Google as I love this cafe! However, I spoke with baristas after being walked in on (again) while using the restroom. The baristas were very kind yet frustrated and have expressed that itâs a common complaint that theyâve also voiced to owners. Even when locked based on printed instructions, customers will walk in on others - happens often. Please add a cheap, quick locking solution. The only other constructive feedback is to have one cohesive menu with all savory/sweet items. Guests have to walk around in almost a full circle (even when there are long lines) to see what is available on several, hard to see menus. Iâve visited this location for two years straight and never realized there were sandwiches among many other items! The food is just too good to miss out on when there is a simply solution - I also feel the average per person sales would increase. A COVID-19/hygienic recommendation would be to find a new system for coffee stirrers/cups that arenât touched by so many guests on a given day. Maybe a larger water tank as well.
If you are in littleton, donât skip born2bake! You simply can not find anything on the coffee or food menu thatâs not incredibly...
Read moreThis was my daughter's wedding cake. Mind you, she lives in Colorado and her father and I live in NJ. This cake was supposed to be a wedding gift from us- she had no idea of the size or design of the cake. She had cake tastings at several bakeries and picked Born 2 Bake because of it's vegan options.
I called and spoke to the decorator and was extremely specific on the location of their wedding- Which was in Breckenridge! 1.5-2 hours away, to which the decorator was aware. I instructed her NOT TO STACK THE CAKE because of the long drive, and she agreed knowing the lengthy travel time. Unfortunately, they wouldn't deliver to their location. This was the condition the cake arrived in because THE CAKE WAS STACKED AND PUT TOGETHER when they picked it up. Neil, the owner had mentioned that there was NO OPPOSITION from them when they picked up the cake. There couldn't be, they had NO IDEA what I had designed or anything!
Luckily, my daughter and brand new son-in-law are extremely understanding, they managed to salvage 2 of the 3 layers as best as they could. I told the decorator that she had 7 girls in her wedding party and they would figure out how to stack the cakes and how to also put the fresh flowers on - which were delivered to the bakery as per my request. (PS - the flowers were perfect!) Again, the cake was stacked and decorated. I could go into such a lengthier review -- but to even think about the aggravation and opposition from the owner, is exhausting. I got a 50% refund and a belittling e-mail from the owner (Neil) accusing my daughter and son-in-law of recklessly DESTROYING the cake. Needless to say, with grandchildren coming, Born 2 Bake will never get our business again. Also, their invoices are hand written and sloppy. Completely unprofessional.
Buyer beware when running into a...
Read moreThis is a casual meeting place with a distinctive personality. Nicha and Neil have created an environment that is laid back and welcoming. No place I've been to anywhere in Littleton Colorado comes close to satisfying our grown up snacking impulse like Born2Bake. Coffee, an amazing breakfast croissant and free Wi-Fi? Yes please! Flowerless chocolate cake, Creme Brulee Tart or Thai Curry Chicken stuffed croissant - oh I know! And that's nothing-you must see and experience their elaborate selection of pastries and other baked goods. This little establishment is on its way to being a legend of the finest flavors. They take special orders and have boxed lunches and scratch made soups. I had a Turkey and Ham Ciabatta. It was scrumptious, overstuffed and I especially loved the generous amount of thick turkey slices, lettuce and balsamic side for drizzling. It was eyes, nose and mouth satisfying. They also have adult versions of childhood favorites such as gluten free chocolate chip cookies and butterscotch chocolate chip oatmeal cookies that are going to satisfy your sweet tooth. Tarts and cakes that are so pretty you'll be walking out of there with $200 worth of incomparable sweets to share, like I did. These handmade desserts are a surprisingly light and unsurprisingly irresistible. Bravo on a job well done Born2Bake...
