Bartenders drink on the job. It use to be a really fun place to go. Now it's just annoying to be there. DO NOT GO HERE, WORST SERVICE EVER!! It will ruin your evening.
My last experience will likely be my last. We went there for a few drinks and to play some games. Tried to order a beer and took 20 minutes to get the beer after asking 2 of the bartenders. Finally got my beer and it wasn't the one I ordered. He explained to me he forgot what I ordered so he brought me something I would like. I let it slide as I could tell he was drunk. The next drink order went similar. Upon cashing out they had charged me for a beer I didn't get and it was $5 more then the one received. When I asked him to credit it me he was confused, I tried to explain that I ordered a different beer that was only $6 and not $11. He then said. "Oh so you got $5 off?", at that point I decided to leave because he was too drunk to comprehend what was happening. I watched similar situations happen to almost every customer there.
The staff is too busy drinking and playing games around the fire pit out back with each other. That place would be awesome if they were professional, sober, and provided real customer service. The establishment and drinks are great. The staff totally ruins the experience. I'd rather go to the Tavern or Merle's and drink a Corona than deal with the staff at the Beer Garden or Jakes. It ruined...
Read moreOVERPRICED, VERY RUDE AND STUPID. While waiting for a friend, sat at the bar and ordered a Guinness, like down the street at Merle's where it's $5 for 16oz, but they only had a stout for $5.50. Came in a 12 oz brandy snifter. The overweight bar tender, in a dirty, wrinkled, sweat-stained tee shirt didn't seem to care - should've just left and met at Merle's. Instead, wrote "12 oz is a joke" at the bottom of the 2-cent, photocopied "Drafts" menu, as I paid for the drink giving him a over-generous 50-cent tip. .................
When a new customer sat next to me, I pointed out the 12oz trick, and told him it was a rip-off. Bar tender must have seen (no way to hear in that place, with a lousy singer wailing), and popped another 6 oz in front of me. When he came back I tried to thank him with "knuckles" and a smile. He refused, so I said, "that's insulting!" THEN some self-appointed, slightly good-looking manager in a cute hat confronted me about writing on her 2-cent, stained menu. I said, "I don't need your crap," and left. SHE CHASED ME DOWN THE STREET claiming that I hadn't paid for the beer. Showed her the receipt, and told her I'd never be back! ............
So for a 2-cent piece of paper, they lost a customer FOREVER, as well as the income from groups of friends that I've invited to meet in downtown Littleton. .............
They also own Kate's which I will also...
Read moreAwesome cozy bar with a fun outdoor patio. You would never know that there is a patio in the back with lots of seating and even gas fire pits, but when you go back there, it’s a pleasant surprise! We recently came for Thanksgiving weekend drinks with friends. They have a good variety of holiday-inspired drinks, like a cider whiskey, and a peppermint hot chocolate, both of which were divine! They also have an excellent beer selection. We loved that they served all the specialty cocktails out of mismatched coffee cups with paper straws. It was such a fun touch! All the staff are so friendly and attentive. We were also surprised that they had food options. We started smelling chili and it got our taste buds buzzing! They have options like chips and queso, and soft pretzels with the same queso cheese, both of those hit the spot for a quick snack! Also, a spicy chili, however, I did speak to a woman who said it wasn’t that spicy. I’d love to try the chili next time! One fun thing I noticed right when we walked in the door, is there is a coat rack that’s filled with costumes. I’m sure on a rowdy night. It’s a fun time to see people start...
