Big Chicken — Restaurant in Livonia

I added a couple of photos, but none included food, ha! I've been meaning to visit this place for a couple of months now so when the food was ready, no pictures. I was ready to dig in.

My party ordered Chicken Tenders, Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Wings. Menu is "slightly" pricey. 3 adult combos and 2 kids meal and a order of 5 wings. About $58.

Tenders: Super crispy on the outside. I wish I would've taken a picture. Nicely battered. My only complaint about the tenders are they were too chewy. It's like you weren't even eating chicken. I was looking for something more solid for some reason when I bit into it. Super soft chicken, imo. Cant say i was a fan of that texture. Flavor was above average.

Chicken Sandwich: More Solid of a chew. Super crispy as well. Love the batter. Many options for their chicken sandwiches. Above average tatse as well.

Wings: Really Really good Wings. It's like 8 9 bucks for 5 wings. I believe there are 4 to 5 flavor options. I wouldn't get them again for that price. Just wanted to try them out. They were cooked just enough. Would've been a lot better had they been cooked a little longer. But a 5 star for the wings.

Fries: Fries were not the best. Not sure if they were already cooked and been sitting for a little, but the taste wasn't there, and they needed a little salt.

All in all, I'll give it a 4. Everything but the fries seemed to be made to order. It's definitely better than the Rasing Cane's that just opened, imo. I was not impressed by them at all. As far as Big Chicken, the taste was good but it was lacking that pop I was looking for. KFC has a taste, that pop flavor! Popeyes, Church's, Wing Stop, etc. Everyone I mentioned has that key ingredient for their 💥

The chicken seems like something good you lucked up on and found at any Sams Club. I would actually come here again but between the prices and taste being slightly above average, I'm in no rush, and you shouldn't be either.

But give them a try...

This was my first time at Big Chicken! To me it was very average, there was nothing stand out about it and nothing driving me to come back.

I went through the drive-thru and the service was very average. I believe when there's a new restaurant in town the experience should be great! But my experience here was just average nothing to talk about.

The food also was very average I ordered the dunkers combo it came with a nice amount of chicken nuggets. They seemed a little bland, but Big Chicken sauce made them taste pretty good

The fries were hot they were basic however. They were just average fries you can get anywhere..

I ordered the sweet tea as my drink, again very basic and average nothing tasteful or remarkable about it.......

And lastly on the side I tried the macaroni and cheese...... It wasn't bad at all, but because I'm so impressed with Chick-fil-A's Mac and cheese, outside of my own, Big Chicken's is just okay with a funny aftertaste.....

Overall I am not in a rush to go back, and I would not necessarily recommend it..... It's really just another overpriced restaurant, you can do better...

I had an issue with a door dash order. We ordered 2 five piece tender plates. When the delivery arrives the containers had fries and bread and only one had coleslaw. There was no chicken in either order. I was able to catch the driver (who was super nice and showed me her empty dasher bag) and she said that I would have to contact door dash and the store. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager (the young man who answered the phone passed the phone off and told the manager "good luck"). I explained that the chicken was missing from my order and he apologized and put me on hold. When he came back he said the kitchen and front of house staff confirmed there was chicken in the order. I assured the manager that I was not calling to complain about no chicken when I had chicken in my order. He then tried to blame it on the dasher, but the bag was sealed when we got it. I understand they cannot do anything about door dash but the response from the manager was unacceptable. I would expect a response to this review from any business who cares about customer service.
