Positives: -I had great meal -love the atmosphere great location -coffee pot sits right there at the table that was my personal favorite! Warm-ups and refills whenever you want. -nice waitress and greeters -parking was nice not too crowded -service was fast -modern menu options! Lots of things you wish you could have more often. Fresh healthy pressed juices, mimosas, eggs benedict, honestly TONS of other stuff! Price was excellent considering how nice this place is! Waitress checked on us so well. Asked if we're ready to order as she brought coffee. Checked back in 5 or so offered a box super sweet -awesome modern feel with nice lighting and very well designed.
Areas to develop: -Wife's eggs Benedict way overcooked -had to ask waitress for napkins twice because they were very scarce and ask for silverware after the food was dropped off without any. No big deal at all but to make a later point... she poured coffee for my wife after wife asked for hot chocolate (she doesn't drink coffee) and handed water to me that my wife asked for. (Waitress was super good energy so I like her a Lot but she didn't seem present a lot on her mind today maybe...would definitely come back she did great. She did recommend a meal when i asked for a recommended favorite and it was AMAZING. -Cashier broke $100 but only broke it with bills that would leave a 10% tip or a 60% tip. Maybe throw a couple 5s next time no biggie though. These aren't complaints just quick things that go on in my head that others might see as well -hardly worth mentioning but the upscale nice modern restaurant was almost a little too nice for the same creamer packets that gas stations use. But probably the most practical so I get that.
To leave a good note I will Def. Change the review to 5 stars if my wife leaves happier next time lol. She's willing to give another chance at the eggs...
Read moreWanted ro express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the way I was treated today by the store manager at your Livonia location. As a loyal customer who has supported your brand since the day you opened — frequently ordering meals three times a week between your Northville, Livonia, and online platforms — I did not expect such unprofessional behavior. The manager I encountered was dismissive, condescending, and entirely unwilling to resolve a simple issue. His conduct was not only unhelpful but completely unacceptable for someone in a customer-facing leadership role. It was clear that the mistake with my order originated internally, either from the kitchen or the front desk. Yet instead of taking ownership or even attempting to investigate, his response was, “It’s not our problem. You need to contact DoorDash. This is our policy.” If this is truly your policy, then I have serious concerns about your company’s commitment to customer satisfaction. And if it’s not, then even more troubling is the fact that you have a manager representing your brand who uses it as an excuse to push customers away. A competent manager would have taken a moment to understand the situation, offered a sincere apology, and corrected the order — especially for a regular customer. Instead, I was essentially dismissed and sent away without my food. That’s not service....
Read moreI'm a big fan of First Watch and used to frequent their Omaha (72nd street) location. This was my first time at one outside of Omaha. The place was absolutely packed since it's Easter Sunday but that led to service delays. I noticed a couple of small differences between the overall food and service between this and the Omaha location: The food tasted good but it looked like they didn't put as much attention to assembling it. I had ordered a Roast Beef and Havarti sandwich with a Broccoli and Cheddar soup. The sandwich was falling apart and had nothing to hold the ingredients together. The beef slices were cold (not room temp). The soup just didn't taste as good as the ones I've had so many times before either. The dish also came without the havarti on the side and our server brought it promptly when I pointed it out, but for patrons who are unfamiliar they would probably have missed it altogether. My wife had the BLT Eggs Benedict and said it was slightly underseasoned. The service was good. Not great. Possibly because they were packed? But our server never really asked how the food tasted which is something I had gotten used to in my previous visits. May I was too used to absolutely stellar food + service and this felt slightly off. However, first watch does remain one of my favorite places...
